Quelle Chris é um rapper de Detroit, berço das maiores marcas automotivas americanas, como General Motors, Ford e Chrysler. Essa cidade já foi uma das mais ricas dos Estados Unidos, mas com a saída dessas industrias para países com mão de obra mais barata (como China, Brasil e etc) a cidade teve uma grande mudança de paradigmas, o que fez com que houvesse um aumento na violência e no desemprego dessa cidade. Passando pro rap, ela é conhecida principalmente por duas grandes figuras do rap que vieram de lá, o Eminem e o J Dilla. O som de ambos reflete de certa forma essa agressividade e essa inquietude, no entanto o som do Quelle tem muito mais influência do J Dilla, e isso vem principalmente do produtor Dibia$e, responsável por toda a produção na mixtape (ou EP, já que tem só 6 musicas). Então a sonoridade vocês já devem saber como é, mas os versos do rapper não ficam pra trás. A flow dele complementa muito bem as batidas e ele escreve bem, sem tentar glorificar muito o "rapper lifestyle" de carros, grana e violência, porém nada muito soft como o que outros rappers fazem hoje em dia... Em termos de letra ele lembra um pouco o Danny Brown, também de Detroit, o que é um bom sinal. Enfim, pra ouvir a mixtape é só clicar abaixo.

Quelle Chris is a rapper from Detroit, the place of birth from America's biggest automotive companies, such as General Motors, Ford and Chrysler. This city has been one of the most rich cities in the US, but when this industry left the city in search of cheaper workforce (in countries such as China, Brazil and others) the city came through a great change, which made the violence and unemployment rates go up. Switching to rap, this city is known as the one where two of the biggest in the game came from, Eminem and J Dilla. The music from both of them reflects in a certain way the aggressivity and inquietude that was going on. Quelle's sound though, has a much bigger J Dilla influence than Eminem's, in part because of the producer of the tape, Dibia$e, which is clearly a fan o Jay Dee. You already know what I'm talking about with the sonority of the tape, but Quelle's verses aren't behind it. His flows really complement the beats and he writes really well, without doing too much of that "rapper lifestyle" of cars, money and violence, but not something too soft like some other cats nowadays.
