Oldies: Mike Jones feat. Slim Thug & Paul Wall - Still Tippin

Fazia uma carinha que eu não postava aqui, então aqui vai essa Oldie... De boa que quando eu comecei a ouvir rap a musica do Sul nem fazia tanto sucesso e muita gente nem considerava ela de tanta qualidade quanto o que era feito em New York ou L.A. (na real que até hoje muita gente pensa assim). Pois bem, rappers do sul podem ser mais liricos, ter batidas melhores e um carisma maior que os de qualquer parte dos Estados Unidos, e durante muito tempo o som de lá foi o que eu mais curti no gênero justamente por isso... Enfim, esse papo todo é pra dizer que Still Tippin foi um dos primeiros sons do sul que eu ouvi e curti, e por causa dele que eu fui ouvir alguns dos meus artistas favoritos de rap, como o DJ Screw e o UGK, ambos de Texas, como os 3 rappers nessa musica. Enfim, pra ouvir esse som é só clicar ali em cima.

It's been a while since my last post, so here's an Oldie. For real, when I started listening to rap, the music from the South didn't do the success it does right now and many people thought it didn't had the same quality as the songs made in New York or L.A.(until today many people think like this). Well, it's more than proven that rappers from the south can be as lyrical, have beats as good and have even more charisma than rappers from any other part of the States, and during a long period of time it was the rap subgenre I listened to the most... All this talk is just to say that Still Tippin was one of the first songs from a Southern rapper that I really digged, and it made me listen to some of the rap acts I like the most nowadays, such as UGK and DJ Screw, which are both from Texas, like the three rappers on this song.
