O som estará no álbum Long Live the Hustle do DJ Scream e vocês podem ouvir o som abaixo.

The MMG DJ gets together with his Boss and two great Texas rappers to do a tribute to the late Pimp C (tributes that, if done well, are never too much). This song evoques the vibe that Pimp C had in many of the songs he produced for UGK, one that I don`t really listen Ross usually on. The song will be on Scream`s Long Live the Hustle and you can check the song below.

Trae feat. Z-Ro, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Kirko Bangz & Bun B - I'm From Texas

Texas is home to some of my favorite artists ever and they bring a great aesthetic to rap. In short, I dig them a lot, so just to see this line-up of Texas legends (minus Kirko Bangz) sent a chill down my spine. After hearing it I ended up even more satisfied xD. All of them represent with their different style of lyrics and cadences, on a beat that pays homage to the style the state created in a great way. The video is exactly what you would expect from a reunion of this guys: Cadillacs with candy paint, loud music coming from cars' trunks and the hot weather and style that's typical from them guys. I only wished they had pickwed Killa Kyleon instead of Kirko to the line-up, but he doesn't spoil the good time either. Click above and check it cause it's dope.

Oldies: Mike Jones feat. Slim Thug & Paul Wall - Still Tippin

It's been a while since my last post, so here's an Oldie. For real, when I started listening to rap, the music from the South didn't do the success it does right now and many people thought it didn't had the same quality as the songs made in New York or L.A.(until today many people think like this). Well, it's more than proven that rappers from the south can be as lyrical, have beats as good and have even more charisma than rappers from any other part of the States, and during a long period of time it was the rap subgenre I listened to the most... All this talk is just to say that Still Tippin was one of the first songs from a Southern rapper that I really digged, and it made me listen to some of the rap acts I like the most nowadays, such as UGK and DJ Screw, which are both from Texas, like the three rappers on this song. If you wanna know what I'm talking about, click above.
