Billboard Fridays: Flo Rida feat. Jason Derulo - Hello Friday

É galera, mais uma semana o G-Eazy e a Bebe Rexha se mantem no topo das paradas de rap da Billboard. O destaque da semana no entanto vai pro som novo do Flo Rida. O Flo Rida é o tipo de cara que faz tanto sucesso que não precisa nem ser apresentado e já que ele não passa nem perto de ser um daqueles artistas super inovadores você provavelmente já sabe mais ou menos como esse som vai soar antes mesmo de clicar no vídeo acima. O som é um daqueles meio pop, meio eletrônico, com uma batidinha e tal pro Flo Rida mandar as riminhas fracas dele. O refrão da vez é feito pelo Jason Derulo, que até que faz um trabalho legal, e a produção é do Kane Beatz e do T.O.D.A.Y. O fraco da música no entanto é o próprio Flo Rida, como costuma ser. Ela não tem video ainda mas você pode ouvir clicando acima.

G-Eazy and Bebe Rexha are on the top of the week's top 25 rap songs, but this week's highlight goes to Flo Rida. He is the kind of guy that you already know what the song will sound like even before you hear it for the first time and this song ain't different. It's the same mix between pop and EDM with just the right space for Flo to spit his weak verses. Hook duties are on Jason Derulo and he does a nice job on that and the song's production was done by Kane Beatz and T.O.D.A.Y. The weakest link on the song though is Flo Rida, that can't make good rap verses even if his own life depended on it. Billboard Fridays: Flo Rida feat. Robin Thicke & Verdine White - I Don't Like It, I Love It

É galera, o Wiz Khalifa não sai da liderança do top 25 de rap da Billboard, mas o destaque da semana dessa vez vai pro Flo Rida. Esse é um single novo dele, produzido pelo SoFly & Nius, Yoan "Oddfellow" Chirescu e Ryan Gladieux, todos franceses. Pra falar a real nem tem muito pra falar desse som, porque se você já ouviu algum som do Flo Rida, basta saber que esse segue basicamente a mesma fórmula de todos esses, só que dessa vez com o refrão cantado pelo Robin Thicke e baixo pelo Verdine White, que é o baixista do grupo Earth, Wind & Fire. O video é basicamente uma festa em uma rua genérica, mas chega a ser triste porque dá pra ver que o pessoal tá forçando pra parecer feliz no video. Enfim, eu não curti, mas pra ver é só clicar acima.

Wiz Khalifa is still on the lead of Billboard's Hot Rap Charts, but this week's highlight goes to Flo Rida. This is a new single of his, produced by french producers SoFly & Nius, Yoan "Oddfellow" Chirescu and Ryan Gladieux. I ain't even gotta talk much about it, because if you ever heard a Flo Rida song, this one sounds basically like any of them. The only difference is that the hook is sung by Robin Thicke and there's a bass that's being played by Verdine White, the bassist from Earth, Wind & Fire. The video shows a generic party going on a generic street, but it's kinda sad, because you can see that everyone is trying (and failing) to seem happy, while the whole thing is clearly phony. Anyway, I didn't like it but you can watch it above.

É galera, Big Sean continua na liderança por mais uma semana com I Don't F**k With You, mas o destaque dessa semana vai pro Flo Rida. Se tem um cara que tem uma fórmula super fácil pros seus hits é esse cara. É bem simples, ele pega uma musica que já está fazendo sucesso, geralmente eletrônica, e daí ele decide mandar uns versos em cima, chamar dele mas partilhar a grana com o cara que teve a moral de fazer toda a musica. O cara de quem ele pegou a musica dessa vez foi o Lookas, produtor da musica, e como se já não bastasse a preguiça ele ainda chamou o Sage The Gemini pra cantar o refrão e fazer o melhor verso da bagaça, ou seja, ele praticamente não aparece na própria música. Meio ridiculo mas é isso ai. O video também é o clichêzão de sempre. Ele alugou um Bugatti Veyron pra ficar de fundo enquanto ele e o Udonis Haslem do Miami Heat treinam um time de gostosas que obviamente ganha de um time de homens e tal... Yeah people, Big Sean is still holding the top of Billboard's Hot Rap Charts with I Don't Fuck With you but this week's highlight goes to Flo Rida. He is the most formulaic hitmaker ever, and his formula is pretty simple. He gets a banger that already blew up and just put some lame ass vocals over it, while sharing the credits with the original producer of the track. The victim this time was Lookas and if that wasn't enough he also calls Sage The Gemini to handle the hook and the best verse of the song. He barely does anything on his own song... He is turning to some kind of lame DJ Khaled or something but fuck it. The video is pretty cliche too, with a Bugatti Veyron just standing on the background while he and Udonis Haslem (from the Miami Heat) train some hot girls that eventually win a match against a team of men. Billboard Fridays: Flo Rida - How I Feel

O topo das paradas ainda é dominado pelo Pitbull com a sua música Timber porém o destaque da semana vai pro Flo Rida. Fazia tempo que ele não aparecia alto nas paradas de rap da Billboard e o jeito que ele conseguiu pra chegar aqui em cima foi seguir uma vibe estilo a do filme Great Gatsby. Basicamente ele ostenta um monte mas sempre numa vibe tipo anos 30, tentando dar pra musica produzida pelo Sermstyle e pelo DJ Frank E, uma classe que na real inexiste. O video tem a mesma vibe, se passando em Las Vegas e tentando parecer das antigas e tal. Enfim, eu não curto o Flo Rida e achei o video e a musica um saco, mas se vocês quiserem ver é só clicar acima. Abaixo segue o top 25 da semana.

The top of Billboard's Rap Charts is still commanded by Pitbull with his song Timber, but this week's highlight goes to Flo Rida. It had been a while since he last appeared this high on the charts and the way he got to this height was following a vibe kinda like The Great Gatsby movie. He does a lot of flossing on the song and video, but since he makes it all pass on the Las Vegas of the '30s he thinks he will get a pass with it. The song was produced by Sermstyle and DJ Frank E and honestly I don't like it, like I don't like most of Flo Rida's shit, but if you care to watch the song and see the video click above. Billboard Thursdays: Flo Rida - I Cry

Nessa semana o PSY continua na lideranca da parada de rap da Billboard com a sua ridicula Gangnam Style, mas eu li um artigo que ajuda bastante a entender porque isso aconteceu. Na semana passada, quando o PSY surpreendentemente assumiu a lideranca, a Billboard mudou o conceito que usava pra classificar os artistas nas paradas de genero (nao apenas no rap mas em todos os outros generos como R&B e Rock tambem ouveram grandes mudancas), passando a contar tambem com vendas de singles online e streaming em sites como o Spotify para compor a lista, nao apenas o que toca nas radios especificas do genero. Enfim, por alguma razao eles decidiram que o PSY se encaixa na sua classificacao de rap, e ja que ele esta vendendo e esta sendo ouvido por muita gente hoje em dia (muita gente que na realidade nao ouve rap), ele assumiu a lideranca da parada. Enfim, o jeito e entender. Depois desse monologo falo agora do destaque da semana, a melodramatica I Cry, do Flo Rida. Esse estilinho de musica pop do Flo Rida realmente nao faz muito o meu gosto, e o clipe e ainda mais emo que a letra da musica. O som foi produzido pelo soFLY & Nius junto com os Futuristics. This week PSY continues to lead the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart with the awful Gangnam Style, but this week I read an article that helped me understand what happened so that would happen. Last week, when PSY surprisingly took the lead of this chart, Billboard changed the concept on which they do the chart. Before the change the list consisted of the artists that had the most radioplay on rap radio stations. Now, it also comprises the selling of singles on the internet and the streaming of songs on programs such as Spotify. For some reason they decided to classify PSY as a rap artist, and since he is selling like hot cake right now because of his meme video (selling to people that aren't really rap listeners), he took the lead of the chart. There really isn't much to do about that. After this long monologue comes this week's highlight, Flo Rida, with the melodramatic I Cry. The style of pop music that Flo Rida does really ain't what I dig, and the video somehow gets to be more emo than the song's lyrics. The song was produced by soFLY & Nius along with the Futuristics. Essa poooorra dessa Net me deixa sem internet, aí fica foda de atualizar esse blog. Enfim, mas essa coluna semanal tá aí, postada certinha. Na liderança segue Yeezy e a sua galera, mas o destaque da semana vai para o Flo Rida. É, eu não sou muito fã dele e acho até complicado chamar o que ele faz de "rap", mas ele tá na posição mais alta que eu ainda não postei, então segue aí. O som é aquele bem pop, misturado com eletrônica de night que o Flo Rida popularizou e todo mundo conhece, segue exatamente essa formula. O som está no album Wild Ones que foi lançado mês passado e foi produzido pelo DJ Frank E e pelo David Glass. Fucking Net don't get my internet right, then it's hard for me to update this blog. Well, at least this week is posted on the right day, I compromise to that. Yeezy and crew are still on the lead, but this week's highlight goes to Flo Rida. I'm far from a fan of the guy and I honestly find it hard to consider what he does as "rap music", but he is in the highest position I haven't posted yet, here it go. The sound is that pop mixed with club electronic music he consagrated, and this ain't different. It is on the album he released last month, Wild Ones, and it was produced by  DJ Frank E and David Glass.
