É galera, Wiz Khalifa continua na liderança nessa semana mas o destaque vai pra Nicki Minaj. O novo single dela é The Night Is Still Young, ainda do ótimo ultimo album dela, The Pinkprint. O som foi produzido pelo Dr. Luke e Cirkut, dupla que anda fazendo vários sons pra ela ultimamente. Esse é daqueles sons mais pops dela, com pouca ambição de mostrar como ela é uma rapper foda mas sim com o objetivo de conseguir tocar no rádio e tal. No começo eu reclamava desse lado do som da Nicki, mas esse é o tipo de coisa que eu já me acostumei com ela e vários dos sons mais pops dela são fodas, só que fodas de uma maneira diferente dos mais de rap. O clipe tem uma influência asiática e tal mas é bem clipezinho de pop, com uma galera sendo feliz na vida, umas dancinhas pré-feitas e tal e o atual namorado da Nicki, o Meek Mill, aparece rapidão também. Wiz Khalifa is still on Billboard's top spot but this week's highlight goes out to Nicki Minaj. Her latest single is The Night Is Still Young and it's from her latest album, the great The Pinkprint. The song was produced by Dr. Luke and Cirkut, a duo that has been doing a lot of songs for her lately. Do not expect "rap Nicki" on this song, but "pop Nicki". I used to hate seeing her talent get "wasted" with pop songs, but with time I got to accept that it is a part of her and she actually does a lot of great pop songs, even though they are great for different reasons than her rap songs are great. The video is that cliche pop video, with a lot of happy people, some sincronized dancing and even her new boo, Meek Mill, does a little cameo on the video. You can check it above.
