Billboard Fridays: Drake - Hype

É galera, o Desiigner continua na liderança do top 25 de rap da Billboard mas essa semana é do Drake. Quer saber porque? Olha a lista da semana, logo abaixo. Nada menos que 15 das 25 músicas nas paradas de rap essa semana são do Drake. Fora isso o Drake conseguiu que as 20 músicas do último album dele, o ótimo VIEWS, ocupassem o top 100 geral da Billboard, o que é um feito incrível. Não é suficiente ainda? Que tal os 800.000 e poucas cópias que ele vendeu na semana passada sendo que o album estava à venda apenas no iTunes e na Apple Music? Pois bem, Hype é o som que eu não postei ainda que chegou mais alto nessa semana então deixa eu falar um pouco dele também. A produção desse som foi feita pelo Boi-1da, Nineteen85, The Beat Bully e Cubeatz e é um dos sons mais pesados do album, junto com 9 e Grammys, já que a maioria do album é bem mais cantado e mais de boa. Mas vocês sabem, quando o Drake quer pegar mais pesado em um som ele sabe como e esse som é quentíssimo, tanto pelos versos do Drake quanto pela própria batida. Ele ainda não tem vídeo mas vocês podem ouvir o som clicando acima.

Desiigner is still at the top of the Hot Rap Chart this week but this is Drake's week. Wanna know why? Just check out the top 25 above. Nothing less than 15 of the 25 songs charting are Drake songs, from his latest album, VIEWS. Beside that he has all 20 of the songs of the album occupying the Billboard Hot 100, something only Beyonce has done before, even though it wasn't with as many songs as 20. That's not enough? How about the fact he sold over 800.000 copies of the album, even though it was only in iTunes and Apple Music, making it his best selling first-week ever and being the best selling album of the year so far, in a year in which Kanye West, Rihanna, Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar and Future have already released albuns? I think I made my point, let's talk about Hype a little. It's the best charting song this week that I haven't posted yet, even though Drake's Pop Style is even higher on the 3rd spot. It was produced by Boi-1da, Nineteen85, The Beat Bully and Cubeatz. It's a very dope beat, very hard, in a album that doesn't have that many hard ass songs. But you know that when Drake wants to show his guns he can do that flawlessly, and that's what he does on this very dope song. It ain't got a video yet but you can check it clicking above.
