Billboard Fridays: Rae Sremmurd - Come Get Her

Hotline Bling do Drake continua na liderança do top 25 de rap da Billboard mas o destaque da semana vai pra dupla Rae Sremmurd. Meio como o Fetty Wap, todos os singles que eles lançaram fizeram sucesso e apareceram nas paradas de rap (pra ter uma idéia, esse é o quinto single do SremmLife). O som foi produzido pelo Mike Will Made It, assim como todos os outros sons dos caras, mas eu achei interessante o paralelo desse som/video com o Travi$ Scott. Muita gente diz que o Travi$ soa parecido demais com o Swae Lee em Antidote, o seu maior single até hoje, ou seja, que ele tá basicamente imitando o cara pra conseguir um sucesso. Pois bem, não sei se de propósito ou não, mas nesse som a dupla leva o conceito do Rodeo (nome do album do Travi$) pro rap, ou seja, aquela loucura meio country com um rodeio literal mesmo. Enfim, se pá é só coincidência mas o conceito ficou bem legal até, assim como o som. Pra ouvir, clique acima.

Drake's Hotline Bling is still on the lead of Billboard's Hot Rap Charts, but this week's highlight goes out to Rae Sremmurd. Kinda like Fetty Wap, the duo made every single they did appear on the charts, as this is the 5th single off SremmLife to appear here. This song was produced by Mike Will Made It (like every other single the duo had) and I find interesting the dynamic and comparison that you can make between this song/video and Travi$ Scott's Antidote. Many people said that Travi$ was biting Swae Lee's flow on Antidote and I find them very alike at least on this song. Well, I don't know it it was on purpose but on this video, Rae Sremmurd basically took the concept of the Rodeo (the name of Travi$ Scott's latest album) and transformed it into video, with great results. Maybe it's all coincidence but it's interesting nonetheless. You can check it all above.
