Billboard Fridays: O.T. Genasis - CoCo

O Big Sean mantém por mais essa semana a liderança do top 25 da Billboard mas o destaque da semana vai pra um novato. O O.T. Genasis é um rapper novo aí, da gravadora do Busta Rhymes e tal. Ele não teve muita visibilidade ainda no rap apesar de ter assinado e saido de um contrato com a G-Unit antes de se juntar à Conglomerate do Busta. Pra esse som ele pegou uma batida bem quente do Juice 808 (que aliás já tinha sido usada pelos rappers Supreme, Malio e Trill Collin$ sem sucesso) e usou pra professar o amor dele pela cocaina. É um desses bangers que fala sobre drogas e tal. Pra falar a real a parada toda soa muito como Yayo do Snootie Wild. Não sei, não é absurdamente bom nem nada, só um coke boy anthem que estourou, não é ruim mas podia ser pior. O video é ele durante 3 minutos preparando a coca dele e rimando e tal, nada demais. Big Sean is still on the lead but this week we got a new artist as the highlight of the week: O.T. Genasis. He is a new rapper, signed to Busta Rhymes' Conglomerate and this is the first song in which he got some visibility. He was signed to 50 Cent's G-Unit previously but he ain't got much visibility there either. For this song he basically got a dope beat by Juice 808 (a beat which had already been recorded by rappers such as Supreme, Malio and Trill Collin$ with no success) and used it to professed his love for the cocaine. It sounds quite a lot like Snootie Wild's Yayo to be honest. It's one of those dope boy bangers but it's not much more than that, and even though it's not great it's not that bad either. The video is basically him doing his thing with the coke for 4 minutes. Click above to check it.
