Billboard Fridays: Wiz Khalifa - We Dem Boyz

E a Iggy Azalea continua rainha das paradas de rap nos States, no entanto to destaque da semana nós temos o Wiz Khalifa. O rapper de Pittsburgh chegou aqui nessa posição com We Dem Boyz, single que está sendo promovido e que fará parte do seu próximo album, Blacc Hollywood. O Wiz fazia um som mais smoked out e relax e tal, baseado no que o Curren$y fazia e tal, mas ele mudou pra um sonzinho mais inspirado no novo trap de Atlanta com We Dem Boyz. A batida foi feita pelo Detail e nela o Wiz muda bastante a flow dele e o jeito que ele rima e tal. Ela é meio repetitiva e não é nada profunda, mas a sonoridade, a produção dela e a flow do Wiz são bem de boa, do tipo que gruda na cabeça. No geral eu achei legal. Já o video é meio... sei lá, não sei nem o que pensar. Nele a unica coisa que acontece é o Wiz ficar andando, passando por coisas e pessoas aleatórias (entre elas o B.o.B, Big K.R.I.T., Ty Dolla $ign, Young Thug, Chevy Woods e o Rich Homie Quan). Iggy Azalea continues as the queen of the US's Hot Rap Charts but this week's highlight goes out to Wiz Khalifa. The Pittsburgh rapper came to this position with We Dem Boyz, a single that's being promoted for his next album, the unreleased Blacc Hollywood. Wiz used to make a chilled out, smoked out sound, based on what Curren$y developed as a style, but this song is more influenced by the New Atlanta rap sound. The song was produced by Detail and in it Wiz changes a lot the kind of flow he used to deliver. The song is kinda repetitive and very shallow in it's subject, but it is well produced and Wiz' flow is on point, so I don't think it is a bad song per se. The video though is another stuff. The only thing that happens in it is that Wiz walks through a hood and passes through a lot of people that's doing some random stuff... OK, part of this people are famous (like B.o.B, Big K.R.I.T., Ty Dolla $ign, Young Thug, Chevy Woods and Rich Homie Quan) but still, it's a lame video.
