Billboard Fridays: Young Money feat. Drake - Trophies

E por mais uma semana o Pitbull segue na liderança. O destaque da semana no entanto vai pra Young Money, que nessa música é representada somente pelo Drake. Quando eu penso na Young Money, obviamente me vem à mente mais que apenas o Drake (não tem como não pensar no Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj e até no Tyga), mas o negócio é que o Drake é um superstar fudido hoje em dia e não ia pegar muito bem pra ele aparecer em várias musicas esquecíveis com rappers como o Lil Twist, Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda e uns outros bostas da Young Money. Infelizmente não temos nenhuma parceria com os rappers mais visiveis da gravadora também, mas pelo menos temos Trophies. Essa musica na real foi lançada bem antes do album da YMCMB, o Young Money: Rise of an Empire. Na verdade o Drake lançou-a na virada do ano e por essas e outras razões eu acho mais que foi uma caridade do Drake dar essa musica pra aparecer no album da gravadora, pra nao dizer que não tem nenhuma aparição do cara, mas o que importa é que ela é legal. Ela foi produzida pelo Hit-Boy, que é um puta produtor que tava meio desaparecido depois de sair da G.O.O.D. Music e tal. A batida tem uma tirada meio militar que serve pro Drake mandar uns versos numa tirada menos romântica e mais de rapper mesmo deles. A musica não tem video ainda mas vale a pena dar uma ouvida clicando acima. Abaixo segue o top 25 da semana.

And for another week Pitbull mantains himself on the top position of Billboard's Hot Rap Charts. This week's highlight goes to Young Money though, represented in this act by Drake. When I think of Young Money he ain't the only (not even the first) rapper that comes to my mind though, after all it is still the label of Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and even Tyga. The song is part of the label's second album, called Young Money: Rise of an Empire, but this is the only song in which Drizzy appears, and he appears solo. I don't know, in his place I wouldn't be too pleased in participating of posse cuts along with lame cats such as Lil Twist, Jae Millz or Gudda Gudda, but he could have a song with Weezy or Nicki at least on the album. At least he appears in it though. He released this song on New Year's Eve on his website, so I don't think he actually did it for that album, but considerind the quality of the album it definitelly deserves to be there. This song was produced by Hit-Boy, a great producer that was kind of let alone on the side after the left GOOD Music. The beat got a real military vibe and Drake uses it to use his rapper flow, doing some cool ass verses. It ain't got a video yet put you can check the song above along with this week's top 25.
