Billboard Fridays: Jay Z feat. Justin Timberlake - Holy Grail

Macklemore e Ryan Lewis continuam no primeiro lugar com Can't Hold Us mas o que importa mesmo é o destaque da semana, que se pá é o cara que vai tirar essa dupla da primeira colocação. Porque eu digo isso? Porque o primeiro lugar é o Jay Z, o artista solo com o maior numero de albuns em primeiro lugar na Billboard (13, no total só atras dos Beatles) que acabou de estrear o seu album novo, o Magna Carta Holy Grail, em primeiro lugar na Billboard com mais de 500.000 cópias vendidas (isso sem contar o 1.000.000 de cópias que ele vendeu pra Samsung e que ambos distribuiram através de um app), sendo assim o segundo album mais vendido do ano. Além disso esse som tem a participação do Justin Timberlake, que por acaso é o artista que teve a maior primeira semana do ano com o seu The 20/20 Experience que vendeu mais de 900.000 cópias na primeira semana. Sentiu o tamanho do drama? Além disso até semana passada esse som nem tava nas paradas, agora foi catapulteado direto pro segundo lugar, então enfim, pode até ser que eu esteja errado, mas o Macklemore tem alguma competição pela frente. Enfim, esse som foi produzido em conjunto pelo The-Dream, Timbaland, J-Roc e No ID e apesar de todas essas estatísticas eu particularmente não gostei desse som. Teve um post no qual eu disse que eu não curti muito o Magna Carta Holy Grail, e é real, mas ele tem algumas musicas que são bem de boa, mas essa realmente não é uma delas... Enfim, ainda assim estamos falando do Jay Z (que aliás tirou o hifen que tinha no seu nome) então mesmo não sendo muito bom ainda assim é melhor que muitas outras musicas nas paradas e se você nunca ouviu esse som, clique acima e tire as suas próprias conclusões. Update: Acabou de sair o video de Holy Grail. Ele foi dirigido pelo Anthony Mandler e sei lá... É interessante, incomum, mas parece de uma maneira meio artificial. Achei meio pretensioso e se esforçando demais pra ser artistico, como boa parte do que o Jay anda fazendo. As partes que dá um slow down na musica também são insuportáveis. Ainda assim vale a pena dar uma olhada, então clica acima.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are still on the top of the Billboard, but I think right now they have something to be worried about with this week's highlight. Why I'm saying that? Cause we're talking about Jay Z obviously. If you ain't know it yet, he is the solo artist with the most albuns that reached Billboard's first place ever, with 13 albuns, and second overall, only behind The Beatles. This single came this high on the strength of the first week sales of Magna Carta Holy Grail, that was released this week and sold over 500.000 copies (and this number ain't even counting with the 1.000.000 copies he sold to Samsung and was passed to fans through an special app). This was the second best first week sales this year. The best week sales from 2013 happens to be of Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience, which is also on this song with Jay. You see why I think what I think? I mean, I might be wrong but there are great chances that Macklemore finally step back from the throne. Jay Z (which dropped the "-" in his name for some reason) did this song with a group of producers, namely The-Dream, Timbaland, J-Roc and No ID and even though we are dealing with a great deal of talent, I didn't really liked this song. Seems kind of artificial and Justin is all over the song. Not that Justin is bad, but this should be a Jay Z song at the end of the day. It's a Jay Z song so if you ain't heard it yet, you should probably take a pic anyway to see if you might like it, because there's always something good on those.
