Então, o Consequence é um rapper talentoso pra caramba, mas ao meu ver, apesar da ótima ajuda que o Kanye deu a ele, ele meio que sempre foi ofuscado incidentalmente pelo Kanye. Agora ele está começando a trabalhar mais com outros rappers e produtores e está deixando realmente o seu talento fluir. Pra essa musica ele chamou o Statik Selektah pra fazer uma batida, que estará na sua próxima mixtape, a Movies On Demand. Clica no título pra ouví-la xD.

Consequence is a very talented rapper, but in my opinion, even though he helped a lot his career, Kanye kinda ofuscates him, because he is involved on most of his songs, being on features or on the production. Right now Cons is working with other rappers and producers, which I think is a good chance to see his talented over different songs. Então, o album do Wale ficou legal e tal mas todo mundo achou que ele deixou um pouco a desejar. Apesar disso, essa musica, que vazou antes do album ser lançado e agora virou um single do album, pra mim, é a musica que mais se destaca nele. Tanto o Wale quanto o Gucci soam muito confortáveis na batida do Best Kept Secret, e o video é bom também, apesar de não ter o Gucci. Enfim, clica aew pra ver.

Most critics said Wale's first album wasn't as nice as they expected it to be. This song is great to me though, and really stands out from the rest of the album. Both Wale and Gucci sound very confortable on this Best Kept Secret beat, and the video is dope too, even though Gucci ain't on it. Click above to check it.

Entãao, depois dos ataques que o Lupe deu na net tá sendo mais dificil de achar material novo dele na net, mas os Buchanans (produtores da musica acima) vazaram essa na net, então acredito que não haja problema. Essa musica foi feita antes do primeiro album do Lupe, o Food & Liquor, mas acabou nunca fazendo parte do album. Ela é de boa mesmo assim, então clica no título pra ouvir.

Então, essa semana diversas ótimas mixtapes foram lançadas, como a do Bun B, Flawless Hustle, Chamillionaire e a do Joell Ortiz e Novel, mas essa do B.o.B. realmente se destacou. Enfim, essa não é a primeira mixtape do Bobby Ray, ele lançou uma ótima ano passado, mas pra falar a real é o melhor material que eu já ouvi dele. Ele sempre teve um pouco de hype em cima dele, sendo comparado ao Kid Cudi, Wale, Asher Roth e outros mas eu sempre achei exagero e nunca entendi a moral toda ao redor dele. Volta e meia ele vinha com uma musica ótima, mas eu não via como ele poderia manter um album inteiro com musicas à altura. Essa mixtape tem participações de ótimos rappers, como o J. Cole, Asher Roth e Charles Hamilton e produções feitas pelo Kanye West, Alchemist e por ele mesmo. Enfim, ele conseguiu me manter interessado durante toda a mixtape e agora eu realmente to esperando pelo lançamento do album dele em 25 de Maio. This week, lots of very nice mixtapes were released, like the ones Bun B, Chamillionaire, Flawless Hustle and Joell Ortiz & Novel did, so it was a tough call, but this mixtape really was a stand out. This ain't Bobby Ray's first mixtape, and he did released a nice one last year, but this is the best material I heard from him so far. I always thought he had a lot of hype around him, being compared to the likes of Kid Cudi, Wale, Asher Roth and others, but I never thought he deserved such high comparations. He did released some very nice songs and all, but I never thought he could do a nice job on an album as a whole. This mixtape has a lot of great rappers on it, like J. Cole, Asher Roth and Charles Hamilton and productions by Kanye West, The Alchemist and himself, and I really think he did a great job on it as a whole. Então, a Erykah Badu é uma cantora que apesar de fazer musicas com rappers e tal, tem um apelo próprio e é uma das cantoras contemporâneas que eu mais admiro. Enfim, essa é uma daquelas musicas que ela realmente mostra todo o talento dela e porque a gente não pode subestimá-la. So, Erykah Badu is the kind of singer that makes music with rappers and all, but she has her own appeal and is one of the contemporary female singers I admire the most. Enfim, o Ant Banks é o produtor que praticamente incorporou o estilo de produção dessa região, tendo produzido o primeiro e diversos albuns pros rappers Too $hort e Spice 1, entre outros da Bay Area, como o E-40, e outros vários da West Coast, como Snoop Dogg, Ice-T, 2Pac e outros. So, the producer above is Ant Banks, from Oakland, California. When you talk about California in terms of rap, what instanctly comes to mind is the N.W.A., Tupac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Death Row Records and others, but there was another very proeminent rap moviment happening on the West Coast on the late 80s an 90s, that came from an area other than Los Angeles and Long Beach. It was the Bay Area, that consists on the bay around San Francisco, in which are Oakland, Vallejo, Napa and other cities. Ant Banks is a producer that made almost entirely the tipical sound of this area's movement, having produced the debut album for Too $hort and Spice 1, worked with other rappers from the area, like E-40, and having produced for rappers all over the rest of the west coast, like Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Ice-T and others. Na Swagga Friday de hoje eu trago pra vocês essa camiseta da UNDRCRWN. Ela é conhecida por fazer camisetas em colaboração com diversos rappers, como Mos Def, Asher Roth, De La Soul dentre diversos outros. Enfim, dessa vez a UNDRCRWN decidiu colaborar com a Yele Haiti, uma associação que ajuda o Haiti, principalmente agora após o terremoto que houve lá, e que foi fundada pelo Wyclef Jean, membro haitiano dos Fugees. Well, this time UNDRCRWN collaborated with Yele Haiti, an organization that helps Haiti, mostly now after the tragedy that happened there. This organization was founded by rapper Wyclef Jean, which is from Haiti and is a member of The Fugees. This will either be on Ricky's next album, Teflon Don, or it would be part of an album Baby and Rick Ross were going to do together but won't anymore. Então, o Tha Alkaholiks, também conhecido como Tha Liks, é um grupo de Los Angeles, bem West Coast e tal, formado pelo Tash, J-Ro e E-Swift. Enfim, o som deles é meio diferente de outros grupos da West Coast, apesar de eles manterem o mesmo espírito gangsta dessa costa. So, Tha Alkaholiks, also known as Tha Liks, are a rap group from Los Angeles, so they're straight West Coast, but they sound kinda different from your usual west coast cat, even though they're still gangsta. The group is formed b Tash, J-Ro and E-Swift and this song is on their second album, Coast II Coast, and was produced by Diamond D with the help of E-Swift. Click above to check the video.

Juelz Santana - I Wanna Rock

Então, como eu já falei pra vocês eu não curto muito freestyles, mas tem vezes que o cara consegue fazer tão bem quanto a original. A batida que o Scoop DeVille fez pro Snoop Dogg em I Wanna Rock é um banger fudido, e eu sempre achei que o Snoop não fez bem justiça a ela. Vários rappers fizeram freestyles em cima dela, e apesar de eu não ter achado que o Juelz fez uma rima à altura da batida também, é uma das melhores tentativas, então clica no título pra ouvir.

Like I said to y'all, I don't really dig freestyles, but sometimes a rapper can do it as well as the original one.
