Yeah, he together with his GOOD Music partners keep the 1st place with them with Mercy, but he is also the highlight of the week with the single from his first solo album, Based On a T.R.U. Story. This song has got a nice verse by his tourmate Drake and was produced by Mike Will. I think both the song and the video (directed by X) are dope, so I think y'all should click above to check it. Hoje o Frank Ocean lançou uma carta pública no seu Tumblr, no qual ele assumiu que os rumores que algumas letras do seu próximo album faziam referências romanticas a um homem, não a uma mulher, e admitiu que a quatro anos atrás, se apaixonou pela primeira vez, e foi por um homem. Muito já foi dito dentro desse dia sobre isso, mas houve um artigo específico que eu achei ótimo, e acredito que é um sumário do que eu penso. Today Frank Ocean released a public letter on his Tumblr, in which he adressed the rumours that some of the lyrics from his next album made romantic references to a "he" instead of a "she". On the letter he admitted that he fell in love with a man 4 years ago, and that he was his first love. A lot was said about that, and after reading about it, there's one article that I think summarizes the question better than I could do. Letras inteligentes sobre o lifestyle dos Jets e uma batida foda, dessa vez provida pelo Cardo, continuam sendo a fórmula do Spitta, e ele não foge nesse som. O video também segue a mesma fórmula. Tu consegue ver uns camaradas do Curren$y, uns carros dele (no caso uma Ferrari 360 Modena Spider e uma Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster) e o Spitta rimando. Enfim, o som é foda, clica aí pra ouvir.

Depois de algum tempo eu ouvi hoje de novo essa clássica e tive que postar, óbviamente. Dr. Dre e Snoop Dogg são duas lendas, não há o que discutir, e esse som mostra exatamente como a dinâmica deles funciona juntos. A batida feita pelo próprio Dr. Dre, Mel-Man e Scott Storch já virou um simbolo do som da West Coast, o Snoop faz o refrão e os versos do Dr. Dre foram escritos pelo Jay-Z, portanto não há porque duvidar que eles são da melhor qualidade. O video é um clássico também, com a aparição de diversos lowriders, várias minas gostosas seminuas e algumas personalidades como o Eminem, D.O.C., Xzibit e Shaquille O'Neal. Man, I haven't heard this song on a long while, but I heard it again today and I had to post it, obviously. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are two legends, there's no doubt about that, and this song shows exactly how their dynamics work together. The beat was done by Dr. Dre himself along with Mel-Man and Scott Storch ans it became a symbol of West Coast hip-hop. Snoop did the hook while Dre rhymes all versos of the song, but they were all ghostwritten by Jay-Z himself, so there's no doubt about the quality of the verses. The video is a classic too, with cameos of lots and lots of lowriders, many semi-naked hotties and some personalities such as Eminem, D.O.C., Xzibit and Shaquille O'Neal. Click above to check it.

Então, pra quem não tá ligado, ontem houveram os BET Awards nos Estados Unidos. O BET é um canal voltado principalmente para o publico negro, portanto vocês podem esperar diversas apresentações fodas de rap, como é de praxe nesses grandes shows. Dentre os shows que houveram, teve um da Maybach Music, teve também da Nicki Minaj e 2 Chainz, mas o destaque vai pro som da GOOD Music, na minha opinião. O Big Sean, Pusha T e 2 Chainz rimaram seus versos de Mercy, e depois abriram espaço e agiram de hypemen pro Yeezy cantar Cold e um verso acapella da sua nova musica, New God Flow. For those who don't know, yesterday the BET Awards aired up in the US. BET is a channel made mainly for the black crowd, so you can expect some dope rap presentations on the awards. Among the artists that did shows yesterday, there's the Maybach Music and Nicki Minaj and 2 Chainz also came together, but the biggest show in my opinion was the one done by GOOD Music. Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz did their Mercy verses, than opened up the space and acted as hypemen while Yeezy rhymed his Cold verse and an acapella version of his new song, New God Flow. DJ Drama feat. 2 Chainz, Meek Mill & Jeremih - My Moment

O DJ Drama foi o cara que lançou a mixtape mais bem sucedida do 2 Chainz, a T.R.U. REALigion, assim como as duas mais bem sucedidas do Meek Mill, Dreamchasers e Dreamchasers 2. Considerando que os dois são alguns dos mais quentes do momento e eles estão fazendo uma turnê juntos (a Club Paradise Tour, que já rendeu diversas colaborações entre os seus participantes), o DJ Drama foi inteligente em chamar esses dois. A batida é uma do T-Minus, que fez o hit do ano do DJ Khaled ano passado, I'm On One (coincidência, será?). Enfim, essa soa muito como I'm On One, mas a original era foda e essa também é, então clica aí embaixo pra ouvir o som.

The beat was done by T-Minus, the same one that did last year's DJ Khaled hit song, I'm On One (coincidence?). Well, I'm One One was dope as fuck, and this one sounds pretty good too, so click below to hear it.

Stalley feat. Rick Ross - Hell's Angels

Esse ano o Stalley, um dos caras assinado com a MMG do Rick Ross, lançou uma ótima mixtape chamada Savage Journey To The American Dream. Esse é um dos melhores sons da mixtape, com o chefe da gravadora, e produção dos produtores que fizeram grande parte da mixtape, os Block Beattaz. Pra ver o video e ouvir o som é só clicar acima.

This year Stalley, one of the guys signed to Rick Ross' MMG, released a great mixtape called Savage Journey To The American Dream. Tyler, the Creator & Domo Genesis - Sam Is Dead

 Odd Future é um coletivo de rap bem interessante, lá da California, que desde o ano passado meio que dispensa apresentações, devido ao talento dos membros e ao tipo de exposição na mídia que eles tiveram. Enfim, eles lançaram esse ano a The OF Tape Vol. 2. Essa batida é do tipo mais tranquilo, que se enquadra melhor à flow do Domo, mas o Tyler, pra variar, destrói o som com os seus versos. O video, inspirado por Platoon, é bem interessante também, com participações do resto do pessoal do grupo. Odd Future is a really interesting rap collective from California that ain't gotta be introduced to nobody after the high profile they got last year. This year they released The OF Tape Vol. 2. This is a more chilled out beat, which is better for Domo to rhyme on, but Tyler, as always, steals the scene and destroys the track with his verses. The video was inspired by Platoon, and is really interesting too, with cameos by most of the group. You can check the song produced by Tyler, the Creator and check the video above.

J Dilla feat. Allan Barnes - Requiem

O James Yancey, também conhecido como Jay Dee ou J Dilla é, na minha opinião, é o melhor produtor que já existiu, simples assim. Não que diversos outros não sejam bons, mas é que o som dele tava em outro level. Enfim, ele fez tantas produções que, mesmo ele tendo morrido de lupus lá em 2006, até hoje existem produções deles que não foram lançadas. Foi lançado a pouco tempo um album com essas produções que nunca foram ouvidas do Jay Dee, em colaboração com outros artistas. O album se chama Rebirth Of Detroit, e pra esse som eles chamaram a lenda do jazz Allan Barnes pra fazer uma improvisação em cima de um som do Dilla, e o instrumental ficou magnifico. Not that other producers ain't good, it's just that his shit was on a whole 'nother level. He has done so many beats that, even though he died of lupus back in 2006, there's still some of his stuff that was never released. Just a little while a go, a new album with some of his work was released, called Rebirth Of Detroit. For this one they called jazz legend Allan Barnes to do an improvisation over Dilla's beat, and the instrumental ended up being magnific. Click below to hear it.
