Billboard Fridays: KCamp feat. 2 Chainz - Cut Her Off

E o Pitbull finalmente caiu da primeira posição e foi substituido pela primeira mulher ao subir aos topos dessa parada desde a Nicki Minaj em 2011. A mina que fez esse feito foi a australiana Iggy Azalea, com Fancy, mas o destaque da semana vai pro KCamp. O KCamp é um rapper da nova escola de Atlanta e ele tem um jeito meio cantado de rimar que me lembra o som que o Ca$h Out e outros rappers de Atlanta fazem. É um som bem tipico de ATL, que tem uma certa influencia do trap mas soa de uma maneira mais tranquila de ser aceita comercialmente. Eu particularmente acho que o KCamp mete umas riminhas bem legais e acho bem massa de ouvir a sua flow. Essa batida foi produzida pelo Will A Fool, que já trabalhou com vários rappers importantes de Atlanta, e pra completar ele chamou pra participar do som um rapper que também é de Atlanta. O 2 Chainz anda meio desaparecido ultimamente mas o verso dele é bem inspirado e no geral esse é um som que eu achei bem massinha. Ele faz parte da mixtape In Due Time do KCamp e não tem video ainda mas vocês podem ouvir o som acima.

Pitbull finally descended from the top spot and left it for the first girl to ascend this high on the Billboard Hot Rap Charts since Nicki Minaj in 2011. The girl that did that is the australian Iggy Azalea with her song Fancy, but this week's highlight goes out to KCamp. He is a rapper from the new school of Atlanta and his flow and way of rapping reminds me a lot of Ca$h Out and others rappers that follow that same tradition. The sound of the song is typical ATL, with a bit of trap in it but soft enough so it won't alienate the pop crowd. The beat was made by Will A Fool, that produced song for many of Atlanta's greatest rappers and of course it features a rapper from the same city. 2 Chainz is way less relevant this year than he was before but he fires up for this verse and does a great job too. I think the song is pretty cool and I liked. It is part of KCamp's In Due Time mixtape and it ain't got a video yet, but you can check clicking above.
