Billboard Thursdays: Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pools (Drank)
Top 25
1- 2 Chainz feat. Drake - No Lie
2- Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz - Mercy
3- French Montana feat. Rick Ross, Drake & Lil Wayne - Pop That
4- Future - Turn On The Lights
5- Meek Mill feat. Drake - Amen
6- Kanye West, Jay-Z & Big Sean - Clique
7- Flo Rida - Whistle
8- 2 Chainz feat. Kanye West - Birthday Song
9- Juicy J feat. Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz - Bandz A Make Her Dance
10- Ca$h Out - Cashin' Out
11- Wiz Khalifa - Work Hard, Play Hard
12- Wale feat. Rick Ross, Meek Mill & T-Pain - Bag Of Money
13- J. Cole feat. Missy Elliott - Nobody's Perfect
14- DJ Khaled - Take It To The Head
15- Young Jeezy feat. Ne-Yo - Leave You Alone
16- Chief Keef feat. Lil Reese - I Don't Like

18- Rick Ross feat. Wale & Drake - Diced Pineapples
19- DJ Drama, 2 Chainz, Meek Mill & Jeremih - My Moment
20- 50 Cent feat. Dr. Dre & Alicia Keys - New Day
21- DJ Khaled feat. Kanye West & Rick Ross - I Wish You Would
22- Lil Wayne feat. Detail - No Worries
23- T.I. - Go Get It
24- Mykko Montana feat. K-Camp - Do It
25- Clyde Carson feat. The Team - Slow Down
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this week's top spot, 2 Chainz still remains with No Lie. What really cheers me up though is this week's highlight. It makes me very glad to see Kendrick Lamar ocuppying his highest position on Billboard's Hot Rap Charts. The song was produced by T-Minus and sound like it would make a perfect Drake song, but Kendrick complements it very well with his lyrics and flow. If you wanna check the dope song and unusual video, please click above.

Rockie Fresh feat. Rick Ross - You A Lie (Remix)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For those who ain't know, the latest rapper to sign to Rick Ross' Maybach Music is Chicago's Rockie Fresh. This is his most famous single, that earned a remix by the label's boss. Rockie's flow and lyrics ain't too bad, but they ain't great either. What really grabs the attention is the great beat they handled him, that is only complimented by Rozay's flow. Meek Mill would've destroyed such a track, but I guess it would've been puting Rockie too low. Well, you can check Rockie rolling in his Lamborghini Murcielago, Rozay rolling in his Ferrari 458 Italia and the song above.

Gunplay - Bible on the Dash
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MMG's Gunplay has released a few weeks ago his latest mixtape, called 601 & Snort, and while in the mixtape he mostly tackles Wu-Tang Clan instrumentals and beats from Miami's old school rap circle, in one of the tape's greatest song, produced by the Morris Brothers, he rhymes over a much more modern beat and we're able to see a way more introspective Gunplay, reminiscing what he did on Kendrick Lamar's Cartoon & Cereal. If you wanna check it, click below.

Oldies: Ghostface Killah - Mighty Healthy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unless you live under a rock you probably know that last week Cruel Summer, the album made by Kanye West's GOOD Music label, was released. One of the best songs from that album was New God Flow and the main sample that was used on that was from the song above, by Ghostface. The album version of the song also has a feature by Ghost himself. I thought since that happened it would be a nice time to shine a light on this classic song by this great rapper, off his greatest album, Supreme Clientele. It was produced by Wu-Tang affiliate Mathematics and if you wanna check the song, please click above.
Miguel feat.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In one of my monthly mixtape highlights I've mentioned Miguel's great Art Dealer Chic series. He is realling blowing up right now as one of the msot creative and successful R&B artists out there right now (which really ain't a small feat). Ma$e, an old school Harlem rapper that used to be affiliated to Diddy's Bad Boy records is really having a revival right now, with one of his highlights being his participation on GOOD Music's Cruel Summer. He decided to do a remix of the most successful single from Miguel's mixtape (which is actually ocuppying the first place on Billboard's R&B & Hip-Hop charts) and the combination of them both ended up pretty interesting. Click below to check it.
Main Attrakionz feat. DaVinci - Do It For the Bay
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another example of great rap being done on San Francisco's Bay is this song by Main Attrakionz (the group formed by rappers Squadda B and Mondre M.A.N.) and another rapper from the bay, DaVinci. A long while ago they already did some pretty innovative shit with some great producers such as Clams Casino, and this new song, which was done by Harry Fraud deserves a listen. It will be on their Bossalinis & Fooliyones which will be released by October 22nd. Click below to hear it.

Busdriver feat. Terra Lopez - Take This Step With Me and Never Come Back
Clique abaixo pra ouvir!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Usually when a rapper is technical enough to do very fast rhymes, he doesn't try to do many different stuff. Since this tecnicality is good by itself, they don't really experiment with different concepts and alternative hip-hop. Well, Busdriver ain't one of this usual rapper xD. His sound is pretty unique, but it's really nice to hear. His flow, lyrics and context are all very interesting and you should really click below to check him out.

Action Bronson - It's Me
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Action Bronson is really something. This song he did with his partner Party Supplies (by his side on the pic) which produced the whole thing and has also done a mixtape with Bronson this year. It's got a real tropical tune to it and it's pretty dope, so I suggest y'all click below to check it.

Billboard Thursdays: Kanye West, Jay-Z & Big Sean - Clique

2 Chainz is once again on the lead of Billboard's Hot Rap Chart with No Lie, but he better beware of this week's highlight. Clique wasn't even on last week's chart and has came to the charts already at the 15th place, which is a very high place for a start. The song was produced by Hit-Boy, Kanye West, Anthony Kilhoffer and Noah Goldstein and it is on the album G.O.O.D. Music put out last week, Cruel Summer. It's my favorite song on the album and it should really be on the place it is. Unfortunatelly it is to new to have a video, but you can check the song and this week's Top 25 above. When the real video come out, I'll put it in his place.

Pusha T, Raekwon & Joell Ortiz - Tick, Tock
O som faz parte da trilha sonora de The Man With the Iron Fists, o filme que o RZA lançará em breve. Pra ouvir o som é só clicar abaixo.

1/2 of Clipse, 1/4 of Slaughterhouse and 1/9 of the Wu-Tang Clan get together to do a classic rap track on the song below. The beat was done by Frank Dukes and S-1 and the results are dope, as you might have imagined. The subject of the song? Well, when you get the Chef and the Pusher together, it can't be nothing but coke talk. Having two of the rappers that consagrated this style along with Joell Ortiz, that does it pretty well too makes the song work. The song is part of The Man With The Iron Fists Soundtrack, the movie made by RZA that will soon be released. Click below to check the song.

MPC Minute with AraabMuzik
Clique acima pra ver.

Frank Ocean - Pyramids
frank ocean [pyramids] from christopher francis ocean on Vimeo.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a rap blog, and Frank Ocean definitelly ain't a rapper, but this video and this song deserve a place here without a doubt anyway. The song (which in the video appears cut to a shorter version than the original one) is a full blown rhapsody and it might be the best song I've heard the whole year... The surrealist video directed by Nabil also matches it pretty well. John Mayer also appears by the end of the video doing a guitar solo version of the song. The whole thing is amazing, you shouldn't miss it, so click above.

Danny Brown in Gypped by a Crackhead
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is basically a video of Danny Brown telling a story from his crack-selling times in Detroit. Danny is a funny guy, but it would be pretty plain if Pitchfork didn't had the idea to do an animation of the story just like the Top Cat animation by Hanna-Barbera. It's pretty cool, so click above to check it.

Rittz - Questions (2012 Remix)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rittz is a white southern rapper, and one hell of a rapper. Like most white rappers that make it in the game, he's got that double-time flow you already expect from guys such as Eminem and Yelawolf. He recently signed to Tech N9ne's label and to celebrate the partnership he decided to do his own take on the classic Questions by Tech. It ended up dope as fuck, click above to check it.
Ace Hood - Leggo
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ace Hood was never the most technical or interesting rapper, but with connects such as DJ Khaled, Rick Ross and Birdman, he was always able to get some dope beats and interesting features for his songs. This time the beat was provided by Mike Will and it seems he got inspired to rhyme something on the level of the dope, heavy beat he was handed. The song is pretty cool so if you wanna check the song and Ace rhyming on the stripclub, click above.

A$AP ROCKY: A$VP C4 from Luke Monaghan on Vimeo.
Bem interessante, clique acima pra ver qual é.

Curren$y & Harry Fraud - Leaving The Dock
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Curren$y has got a whole eighties aesthetic that's dope as fuck. He passes to the listener this feeling through his rhymes, flow, videos and basically everything he does. In his latest EP, Cigarette Boats, fully produced by Harry Fraud, he gets together with the genious producer to do his songs, and since they've got a lot in common musically, the results are great. Above you might check a video from one of the EP's songs and you can also check a little bit more of the Jet Life, being it lighting up his weed, rolling on his Bentley Arnage or any of the other stuff he does. Rick Ross - Presidential
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
God Forgives, I Don't, Rick Ross' last album, had it's great and not-so-great moments. This one though is one of the greatest in my opinion. I'm suspicious to say cause I enjoy a lot pretty much everything The Neptunes do musically (even though this song was produced by Pharrell alone). Well, the beat complements Ross' whole vibe very well, his lyrics don't disappoint and Elijah Blake's hook is dope too. You can check it all clicking above.
Billboard Thursdays: Juicy J feat. Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz - Bandz A Make Her Dance
We Trippy Mane!

We Trippy Mane! 2 Chainz continues in the first place and is also on this week's highlight, this time on a song made by Juicy J. For those who ain't know Juicy he is a rap veteran from the Three Six Mafia, known for their Stay Fly single and for winning the Oscars for a song they did for the Hustle & Flow movie. A few years ago Lex Luger decided to produce almost the entirety of a mixtape for him and Wiz Khalifa added him to his Taylor Gang, and since that his profile has rised. He is now more successful as a solo act and has been going hard with his mixtapes. This song is on the re-release of his Blue Dream & Lean tape and the remix of it with Deuce and Tunechi is going higher and higher on the rap charts. If you wanna check the Mike Will produced song all you gotta do is click above. You can also check this week's Top 25 Hot Rap Chart from Billboard above.
Kanye West, Jay-Z & Big Sean - Clique
Aaaah caralho, agora sim xD. Quem ainda náo ouviu deveria faze-lo nesse exato momento, clicando abaixo.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh damn, now that's what the fuck I'm talking about. The Throne gets together with Big Sean on a Hit-Boy beat to do their version of Crew Love and the result is Clique. I don't know, I'm kind of short of word to describe this song. The beat is so damn dope, and even though Sean represents, Kanye and Jay-Z swerve through their verses. High quality music from this two perfeccionists, from Jigga trying his spanish to Kanye getting back to All Falls Down's last verse theme, everything fit perfectly. Those who ain't heard it yet should do it now, clicking below.

Maybach Music Group Session Live at Alife
Power Circle, Alife and Maybach Music Group from Alife New York on Vimeo.

DJ Scream feat. Rick Ross, Slim Thug & Bun B - Cassette Deck
O som estará no álbum Long Live the Hustle do DJ Scream e vocês podem ouvir o som abaixo.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The MMG DJ gets together with his Boss and two great Texas rappers to do a tribute to the late Pimp C (tributes that, if done well, are never too much). This song evoques the vibe that Pimp C had in many of the songs he produced for UGK, one that I don`t really listen Ross usually on. The song will be on Scream`s Long Live the Hustle and you can check the song below.

Talib Kweli feat. Black Thought & Ab-Soul - Congregation
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Talib Kweli is in the game for a while now and the career of many, including the great Kanye West, wouldn`t be the same without his touch. With this song, which is on his latest mixtape, Attack The Block, the rapper proves how he is still relevant and consistent. On the song he gets together with the MC of The Roots, Black Thought, and one of the best rappers from the new generation, Ab-Soul, from Black Hippy, all that on a J Rhodes beat. The song is dope and you can check it below.

Gucci Mane feat. Rocko & T.I. - Plain Jane (Remix)
Vale a pena clicar acima pra ouvir o som e ver o vídeo.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of (if not) the best song from this year's great Trap Back mixtape, by Gucci, earns a remix on the other great mixtape Gucci released this year, I'm Up. The guy that joins Gucci Mane and Rocko for the remix is another Atlanta veteran, T.I. The beat is one of the best by this year's hottest producer, Mike Will, and you can check in the video a couple of Ferraris 458 Italia and a cameo by Waka Flocka Flame. It`s worth clicking above, so do it.
Azealia Banks - 1991
Clique acima pra ver o video.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The video that was missing from the 1991 EP, the EP Azealia released earlier this year, was finally released. As you would expect from the others songs from the EP (Van Vogue, Liquorice and 212), this is also of vert high quality, and we can still check Azealia`s curves on the video, which is always a nice thing xD. Click above to do that.
MellowHype - La Bonita

One of the groups that form the Odd Future collective just released a video for one of their great songs. The video in question is for La Bonita, by MellowHype, the duo formed by Hodgy Beats and Left Brain. The song is really cool, much more chilled out than most stuff I hear from the duo, and the hispanic theme for the video ended up pretty cool as well. Click above to check them.

For those who don't know, this weekend the 2012 Video Music Awards happened. This is the award show which MTV promotes in which they give prizes for the best videos of each year in many categories. As you would expect, rap and black music artists where nominees to the prizes. Below you can see some of that categories, and the names in bold are for the ones that won each category. Beside that, this award shows always have lots of presentation by great artists, and above you can check one of them, by 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne singing Yuck and No Worries. Beside them, there where also other rap related presentations, such as A$AP Rocky participating on Rihanna's opening show doing the remix for Cockiness, Frank Ocean singing Thinkin' About You and Nicki Minaj on Alicia Keys' show doing their rendition of the remix for Girl On Fire.

Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire - Position of Passion
Clique acima pra checar.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire (which nowadays is Mr. MFN eXquire, which is a much less fun name, so I will still call him by the old one) released this song on a pre-Get Rich Or Die Tryin[ 50 Cent beat, and it ended up dope as fuck. The video is basically him having some fun with some homies and strippers, but it`s worth checking, so click above to do it.

Billboard Thursdays: 2 Chainz feat. Kanye West - Birthday Song
Top 25:

2 Chaaaaaainz on the lead and also on the highlight of this week, but with two different songs. The song on the lead is No Lie, but this week's highlight is Birthday Song. This video was released just a little while ago and I thought of posting it, but I imagined it would be this week's Billboard highlight, so here it is. The video is very random with a bunch of crazy stuff that you would expect on something done by both Kanye and Tyler the Creator (even though the video was actually directed by Andreas Nilsson) but it is actually pretty funny, kinda different from what you would expect a video like this to be. The song is great too and was produced by a line-up of great producers (more specifically by Sonny Digital, Kanye West, B Wheezy, Anthony Kilhoffer, Lifted and Mike Dean). Finally, the verses show the kind of ignorance you already expect from a song by Tity Boy, but Kanye still manages to steal the show on his own game with some pretty great and memorable lines. Well, the whole thing is pretty enjoyable, so you should definitelly click above to check it. Above you can also check this week's Billboard Hot Rap Chart Top 25.

Common - No Sell Out

A few days ago this track popped out on the net. On this track by the traditional Chicago rapper, his frequenty collaborator and Kanye West mentor, No I.D. did producer duties. It was done on The Dreamer/The Believer (Common's last album) sessions, and for some reasons it ended up being cut out, but it could easily have become a part of that. At least you get a chance to hear it now, clicking below.

The-Dream feat. Pusha T - Dope Bitch
The-Dream "Dope Bitch" from IDJVID on Vimeo.
Clique acima pra ver o video e ouvir o som.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I always liked R&B, but I like it even better when there's an artist with great lyrics and that really tries to push his aesthetic on the genre. Before the genre got into a renassaince with artists such as Frank Ocean, Miguel and The Weeknd, the artist that best exemplified that for me was him. Since The-Dream himself produces most of his stuff (with the help of Tricky Stewart and LOS da Mystro sometimes) and he also has the experience of producing for other great pop artists, he has a great field for him to experiment, and I always digged that in him. This time he compares his bitch to cocaine and he invites no one put the specialist on the subject, Pusha T, to add his touch to the mix. The results are as dope as Dream's bitch xD. Lupe Fiasco - Bitch Bad

Lupe has been one of the rappers I admired the most in my lifetime, but after a while, in my opinion, he fell off a lot, so it's nice to see him back in his tracks doing something in which I enjoy him. In the lyrics and on the almost literal video (but a very nice compliment to the lyrics) for this song he deconstructs the meaning of what "Bad Bitch" means to two people from different backgrounds. I won't tell you everything abouyt the video, but it's pretty interesting to see him comparing the ministrel shows and the Blackfaces from the beginning of the last century to the role rappers have in today's society. You can check this cool video clicking above.

T.I. - Go Get It

Lately T.I. seems to be doing more wrong than right, but it's always good to see a dope rapper such as him feel confortable over a beat. This one was produced by T-Minus and it will be on his next album, Trouble Man. I quite liked it, so click above to check if you do too.
