Billboard Thursdays: Chief Keef feat. Lil Reese - I Don't Like
O destaque dessa semana no entanto fica pro Chief Keef.
Top 25:
1- 2 Chainz feat. Drake - No Lie
2- Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz - Mercy
3- Wale feat. Rick Ross, Meek Mill & T-Pain - Bag Of Money
4- Meek Mill feat. Drake - Amen
5- Wiz Khalifa - Work Hard, Play Hard
6- Ca$h Out - Cashin' Out

22- Chris Brown feat. Big Sean & Wiz Khalifa - Till I Die
23- Nicki Minaj feat. 2 Chainz - Beez In The Trap

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kanye West, Big Sean and Pusha T finally where detroned from the top of the Billboard Rap Chart by 2 Chainz, with which they did Mercy. This time he reached the top spot with the song he did with Drake, No Lie. This week's highlight goes to Chief Keef though. His career started to blow up in the beginning of this year, by the same time released his great Back From The Dead, in which I Don't Like was released. By the time Kanye decided to do the remix for his fellow Chicago rapper was the time this song and his profile got a real boost. Not without reason though. It's a very dope song and the beat Young Chop did for this song is very recognisable and one of the best of the year. The video was filmed on Chief Keef's room on his grandma's house, since he was on parole for shooting the police (with only 16 years old!). Well, you can check this dope song, it's video and this week's Top 25 Hot Rap Songs above.

Spaceghostpurrp - Mystikal Maze + Get Ya Head Bust + Don't Give A Damn @ 4AD Session
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4AD is the independent label that signed Spaqceghostpurrp's contract. Lately they've been doing Sessions with their artists, and this is the one the Raider Klan rapper did. It's pretty interesting to see his live dynamics and his whole dark vibe translating to a live session. If you wanna check it, click above.
Kanye West Interview for The Art Of Rap Documentary
Clique acima pra ver.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ice-T is doing a documentary called The Art of Rap, in which he talked to a bunch of famous rappers about the process they pass through while making a song. In this clip Kanye talks about how he did Power. Anyone interested in Kanye or in this kind of process should find it interesting. Click above to check it.
Rick Ross - Amsterdam
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ross releases so much heavy stomper music nowadays that it's easy to forget the lyrical side the Boss has always had. This song is from his latest album, God Forgives, I Don't, and it demonstrade with grandeur exactly what I just said. Over a cinematic beat done by Cardiak, Ross talks with creative metaphors about the nice life he lives today and the difference between what he and others have. The video is a transposition of what he is saying. You will check a victorian mansion with the proporsions of a castle, very attractive women, a Ferrari California and some of his rapper friends (in this case, Tyga and Omarion). A day in the life of the boss. The music is high quality, so click above to check it.
Azealia Banks - Van Vogue
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Azealia Banks put out the video for another song from the great 1991 EP she released in the middle of this year. It's basically the same formula she's used to. A beat done by some electronic producer in which the Harlem chick uses her best flow, lyrics and charisma to give life to it. The video is dope too, so click above to check it.
Deniro Farrar & Shady Blaze feat. Haleek Maul - Cold Blood
Meio dark e tal, mas as rimas e a batida tão no ponto. Clique abaixo pra ouvir.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Talking about Ryan Hemsworth, here he's at it again with another beat. This time the rappers that represent over his instrumental are Deniro Farrar, from Charlotte, Shady Blaze, from the Bay Area, and the newcomer Haleek Mauk, from Barbados. All of them are underground with lots of talent, and the result is on point. Click below to check it.

Ryan Hemsworth - Charly Wingate
Pra ver qual é desse instrumentalista, clique acima.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clams Casino is a guy that, almost single handedly made space for hip-hop producers which make dope instrumentals not only for rappers to rhyme over, but to be listened by themselves too. One of the guys which does it that I like the most is Ryan Hemsworth. He produced some stuff for Main Attrakionz and Shady Blaze which was the shit, but some of his instrumental tapes and this song in particular I find very interesting. Click above to check his work

A$AP Rocky - Purple Kisses

Yesterday A$AP Rocky and his crew, the A$AP Mob, released a new mixtape called Lord$ Never Worry. They did this NSFW video for one of the mixtape cuts, and it continues with Rocky's crewed up, codeine infused aesthetic. It's pretty interesting, both the video and the song produced by VERYRVRE. You can click above to check it.
Mikkey Halsted - Obamanomics
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mikkey Halsted is a street rapper from Chicago, but he's got the pedigree to be considered well. He was connected to Kanye West on the beginning of both's careers and he can still count with No I.D., who produced this song, when he needs it. This song is on his latest mixtape, Castro, and in it he does a parallel between the Reagan era, in which crack sales began, and what Obama is doing nowadays (which in his opinion ain't much different). Kid Cudi feat. King Chip - Just What IAm
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kid Cudi is a rapper that I have known since his beginning, so it's very interesting to check his evolution. Kinda like Drake, which is from the same gen as him, he don't see no problem in being melodic and singing ins his songs. He craft very personal stuff for his fans, and like Drake, that's some of the reason why his fans like him so much. They might seem alike by what I spoke, but they actually sound very different off paper. Actually, even though he borrows something from Kanye's 808s & Heartbreaks era, he is a very unique rapper. In this song he gets together with Chip (usually known as Chip The Ripper, but here credited as King Chip), a rapper from his hometown, in a beat Kid Cudi himself did. Click below to hear it.

DJ Khaled feat. Meek Mill, Ace Hood & Plies - Shout Out To The Real
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the song that opens up DJ Khaled's new album, Kiss The Ring. He did his job like the great A&R that he is and used a great strategy. First he took an energetic beat by Jahlil Beats, which is very used to work with Meek Mill. Than he put Meek with his whole energy to go rampage over the first verse. Ace Hood, his protegé, which honestly ain't a great rapper or nothing, seems contagiated by the thrill of the song and does one of his best verses since Hustle Hard. Plies seems very hyped up as well and does his stuff in a great way. The song ended up dope as fuck and you can check the song (which was also co-produced by DJ Khaled) below.

Ace Hood - Leggo
Ace Hood anda representando legal ultimamente!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ace Hood is doing his fucking thing lately. His latest mixtape, Body Bag Vol. 2, ain't bad at all and this song, from the tape, is one of his best. Ace used his contacts to catch a beat from one of today's hottest producers, Mike Will, and did his best job in showing how to rule such a dope beat (kinda like he did with Hustle Hard last year). Click below to check the song.

Gunplay - Take This
O carisma do cara é nato xD.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gunplay has got to do some movie or shit like that. His charisma is nothing short of amazing xD. Well, this clip ain't got much but Gunplay on studio adlibing his lyrics, but the song is dope and he is completely insane, so it's very worth checking it. Click above!
Trae feat. Z-Ro, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Kirko Bangz & Bun B - I'm From Texas
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Texas is home to some of my favorite artists ever and they bring a great aesthetic to rap. In short, I dig them a lot, so just to see this line-up of Texas legends (minus Kirko Bangz) sent a chill down my spine. After hearing it I ended up even more satisfied xD. All of them represent with their different style of lyrics and cadences, on a beat that pays homage to the style the state created in a great way. The video is exactly what you would expect from a reunion of this guys: Cadillacs with candy paint, loud music coming from cars' trunks and the hot weather and style that's typical from them guys. I only wished they had pickwed Killa Kyleon instead of Kirko to the line-up, but he doesn't spoil the good time either. Click above and check it cause it's dope.
Gunplay's Power Circle verse Decoded
O verso é bem foda e o jeito do Gunplay sempre é divertido de ver, então pra quem saca inglês e curte rap, fica a dica.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you must already know, last year Jay-Z released a book called Decoded in which he talks about what he meant to say on some of his verses. Nowadays his website, Life + Times, has got a partnership with YouTube and they are releasing videos of rappers decoding some of their most famous verses. This time we got Gunplay doing his Power Circle verse. His verse is dope and Gunplay is always fun to watch, so click above to check it.
Method Man, Freddie Gibbs & StreetLife - Built For This
Esse som estará na trilha sonora do próximo filme do RZA, The Man With The Iron Fists, e você pode vê-lo acima.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's take Flo Rida out of the front of my blog, it might send the wrong message xD. Well, I haven't posted as much as I wanted lately cause I'm with some serious internet issues, but this week, one way or another, it's going to get straight, then I'll post everything I haven't yet. For now I leave you with Method Man, from the Wu-Tang Clan, with two other great spitters. This song will be on RZA's next movie, called The Man With The Iron Fists, and you can check the video above.

Billboard Thursdays: Flo Rida - Whistle

Fucking Net don't get my internet right, then it's hard for me to update this blog. Well, at least this week is posted on the right day, I compromise to that. Yeezy and crew are still on the lead, but this week's highlight goes to Flo Rida. I'm far from a fan of the guy and I honestly find it hard to consider what he does as "rap music", but he is in the highest position I haven't posted yet, here it go. The sound is that pop mixed with club electronic music he consagrated, and this ain't different. It is on the album he released last month, Wild Ones, and it was produced by DJ Frank E and David Glass. Schoolboy Q - Party
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I read something that explains much better why all these dope songs from TDE are coming up on the net. Apparently a few days ago the #TDEApprectiationWeek started and the song below was yesterday's release. This one is for today and it's pretty dope too. It was produced by Kenny Beats and you should click below and listen to it already!

Ab-Soul - Nibiru
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The hippiest member of Black Hippy just released a banger new song. He barely released Control System and he still got shit like this one stashed? It's at least impressive. I don't think it will be in any future project, but fuck it, what matters is that it's dope. Ab-Soul even takes some time on the hook to make fun of himself because of his trips, and that's not something every rapper is able to do. Those who dig good music should click below and you won't regret yourself. Oh, and the song was produced by JMSN.

Azealia Banks - Succubi
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is one I didn't saw in the horizon. For those who ain't know, Azealia comes from Harlem, a neighborhood in New York, from which Dipset, the group formed by Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones and others, also comes from. People from Harlem usually have mad respect for what Dipset did, but something around the way made thinks not so nice between Azealia and Jim Jones and she recorded this diss track directed at him. The song was produced by AraabMuzik and it's pretty dope, you can click below to check it and now all we gotta do is wait to see if the Diplomats' Capo responds.

Brother Ali - Mourning In America
Enfim, o cara é foda e tá pra lançar um album que se chamará Mourning In America And Dreaming In Color.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And in the more lyrical side of hip-hop we have the great Brother Ali. He stands out because he still makes a very traditional kind of rap which is very politicised too. His lyrics are superbelly written too, anyone that hear him and his poetry can't deny it. He is about to release and album called Mourning In America And Dreaming In Color. This song will be on it and it was produced by his old partner Jake One. Click below to check the song.

Billboard Thursdays: Future - Turn On The Lights
Top 25:
1- Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz - Mercy

It ain't easy for the competition to take the top spot from Billboard's Hot Rap Chart from Kanye and his peers. Mercy is still number one, but this week's highlight goes to Future. Turn On The Lights is on his debut album, this year's Pluto, which is one of the best albuns released this year in my opinion, and this song is one of the best of the album. It was produced by Mike Will, one of the hottest producers in the game right now, and this song demonstrates why Future is so dope and popular. He can conciliate his street cred with his pop sensibilities and make music that appeal to a lot of people without sounding like just another song on the radio. You can click above to check the song (along with Future's Range Rover and his wifey's BMW 3 Series). You can check this week's top 25 above too.

V-Nasty & Lil Debbie - Gotta Ball

And on the more ignorant side of the Bay Area comes V-Nasty and Lil Debbie, partners of White Girl Mob, the crew created by Kreayshawn. They're total white trash, but their sound has got everything to do with hyphy, the rap sub-genre created on the Bay, where they're from. Their lyrics ain't complex, but it's not like they care about that. Their visuals and sonority have something to do with the likes of Riff Raff, Lil B and Kreay, but I suggest y'all click above to check it.
DaVinci - In My City

Billboard Thursdays: French Montana feat. Rick Ross, Drake & Lil Wayne - Pop That
Além do French ele ainda conta com a ótima companhia do Rick Ross, Drake e Lil Wayne, e todos representam no som.

Those who keep up with the blog know that I post this week religiously every thursday, but this week I unfortunatelly lost someone very close to me, so it wasn't possible to post it yesterday. The first place spot is still with Kanye and his crew but this week's highlight goes to French Montana and his latest single, Pop That. The beat was done by Anthony Lee, which is from New York (like French) but it has a very distinct trap music sound to it. They still have great company in the track from the likes of Rick Ross, Drake and Lil Wayne and they all do their thing on the track. This song will be on French's debut, Excuse My French, and you can check it's pool party video above. This week's top 25 is also above.

Drake & The Weeknd - Crew Love (Live at OVO Fest)
Clique acima pra ver eles tocando no festival.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Every year since Drake released his So Far Gone mixtape, he does a festival on his hometown of Toronto, Canada, called OVO Fest. But don't think it is just another Drake show for his city. The OVO Fest is only in it's third year and in the other two years people such as Jay-Z, Eminem, Nas, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Stevie Wonder and others have performed. This year the special guests were The Weeknd, which is part of his OVO crew, Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg (or Snoop Lion, don't really know how to call him anymore). Well, Crew Love is a very interesting song, but their live dynamics are great and they succeed in making it even more interesting live. Click above to check it.

Domo Genesis feat. Freddie Gibbs & Prodigy - Till The Angels Come
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few posts ago I talked about the great No Idols mixtape by Domo Genesis and The Alchemist, but I had to talk about this song specifically too. Just like the rest of the mixtape, this song was produced by The Alchemist, and Domo's verse is nice and all, but Freddie Gibbs really inspired himself for his verse and Prodigy sound better than I remember hearing him in the last 5 years over this dope song. Oh, and Prodigy, since you know has to deal with this beef with Havoc, get Alc to work on your next project. He clearly knows what sounds good to you and can bring your best out, kinda live Hav did.

Captain Murphy - The Ritual
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The mystery about who the fuck is Captain Murphy continues, but as long as he releases some dope songs, it doesn't really matter. This time he grabbed Just Blaze's Dear Moleskine beat, added an outro and rhymed over it. The song ended up dope and you can check it above.
Nas - A Queens Story
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The very anticipated new Nas album was finally released a few weeks ago and it's called Life Is Good. It has many great songs, but this one was the one that grabbed my attention the most. In theory, it should be easy. get a dope beat from a good producer, a MC that can rhyme his ass off and the results of it should be good. In real life, it's a bit more complicated and many rappers ain't doing it like that, but the song below is the classic example of what I just said. The producer is Salaam Remi, and the beat sounds real new yorker, reminding me of a Broadway act and stuff like that. Nas doesn't waste his chance and rhymes some of his most vivid verses, and the results are pretty nice. Click below to hear it.

Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pools (Drank)
Video novo do Kendrick Lamar!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New video by Kendrick Lamar! He ain't really the kind of rapper that does lots of videos, but with his new album on the way a few YouTube views wouldn't be bad if only to justify the Aftermath/Interscope investment. But, as you should know, Kendrick doesn't rhyme like every other rapper, and his videos ain't like every other rapper's video too. It ain't no Wonder of the World and shit, but it's nice, and the music alone, produced by T-Minus, is more than enough a reason for you to check it. Click above to see what I'm talking about.

Sasha Go Hard - Tatted
A batida é do DGainz e pra ver o video e ouvir o som (que está na mixtape Do You Know Who I Am) é só clicar acima.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not only the youngins from Chicago are making some heavy dope shit out there. The lady hittas are at it too! Sasha Go Hard just dropped the video for her dope song, produced by DGainz and if you wanna check the video and the song (which is on her Do You Know Who I Am mixtape) click above.

Domo Genesis & The Alchemist - No Idols
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I ain't wrong, this mixtape was released yesterday by night, and I got to hear it today. I had to, simply because it was all produced by The Alchemist, and my time wasn't lost, definitelly. It kinda reminded me of the project he did with Curren$y last year, called Covert Coup. Domo's rhymes are dope and all of the guests on the mixtape (like Tyler, the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Action Bronson, Smoke DZA, Prodigy, Freddie Gibbs, Spaceghostpurrp and Vince Staples) also shine on the tape, but it's The Alchemist's beats that steal the show. They're nothing short of extraordinary and, even though the mixtape is kinda short, it's worth every second of it. Click below to hear it and download it.

Billboard Thursdays: Driicky Graham - Snap Backs & Tattoos
Top 25
1- Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz - Mercy
2- 2 Chainz feat. Drake - No Lie
3- Ca$h Out - Cashin' Out
4- Wiz Khalifa - Work Hard, Play Hard
5- J. Cole feat. Missy Elliott - Nobody's Perfect
6- Young Jeezy feat. Ne-Yo - Leave You Alone
7- Wale feat. Rick Ross, Meek Mill & T-Pain - Bag Of Money

25- Chief Keef feat. Lil Reese - I Don't Like
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kanye and his crew still reign supreme at the top of this week's Billboard Hot Rap Chart. This week's highlight goes to this nigga named Driicky Graham. I'll be real with y'all, this is the only song I know this guy did, and even though the beat done by Arch Tha Boss and Yung Berg is pretty dope, dude's rhymes are weak as fuck. He is really repetitive and you can see his whole visual ain't original too, he obviously took cues from Tyga and Chris Brown. Still, if you wanna check the video for the song above and the dope beat I told y'all, click above.

Rick Ross - Hold Me Back
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Rozay doing songs and videos as heavy as himself ain't no news. Somehow he manages to out do himself though, improving the BMF formula with every new street banger. The video fro the song above, from the newly released God Forgives, I Don't, is one of the best quality ones he's ever done. Even though the video is dope, the song doesn't get much behind it, and it's pretty nice for those who dig Ross' style. The beat was produced by G5Kid and if you wanna check it all, click above.
Oldies: Too $hort - Blow the Whistle
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seeing the songs that are on the soundtrack for NBA 2k13, which has none other than Jay-Z as the executive producer, made me remind of a song I first heard a long time a go and that made me go after more stuff done on the Bay Area. The song is the one above, from the homonimous album by Too $hort and it's that typical Bay Area party song, that every once in a while takes urban radios by assault (like Rack City and UP! nowadays). The song was produced by Lil Jon in his peak and you can hear it and check the video above.
Cashius Green - Mona Lisa
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know much about the rapper above, and it doesn't really matter anyway. What do matter is that the song above is very dope. He is on the Smokers Tour with Smoke DZA, Joey Bada$$ and others, and his song reminisces the songs from this rappers. It was produced by Yung Miss and it is on the rapper's latest mixtape, Sunny Side Up. Click above to check it.
