Future - Turn On The Lights
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Future is a very singular rapper. I think that because he is the kind of guy that can keep things street without losing pop appeal. He can say some real stuff and have street cred with his creative rhymes, but his melodies and hooks come very natural to him, so there's no need for you to be someone who is really into rap music to dig him and appreciate his stuff. It's kinda complex to explain, but I think he's got something of Gucci Mane and Andre 3000 (both from Atlanta) on his sound, and that's a good thing. This song is on the great Pluto, his debut album, and was produced by Mike Will. Click above to check it.

Gucci Mane - Supa Cocky
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gucci Mane, the old school rapper from Atlanta and one of the best on the game, got together in this song with Young Chop, the new school rapper known for working with Chief Keef. The song is dope as fuck, those who dig Gucci's style shouldn't regret clicking above. This one is one the I'm Up mixtape I talked about here, and it's definitelly worth a listen too. Those who wanna check his new video (and Gucci's fleet of cars, which includes a Dodge Challenger, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Jaguar XF) can click above.
Schoolboy Q - There He Go
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everytime one of them TDE dudes releases a new song, I get a very easy post, cause their shit is just so good! This time it's the visuals for There He Go, by Schoolboy Q. The song is on the rapper's latest album, Habits & Contradictions, one of the best I heard this year. It shows him going through LA and has cameos by his Black Hippy crew. The song was produced by Sounwave and you can check the video above.

Nipsey Hussle - They Know
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a guy I haven't heard doing anything relevant in a while. About 2 or 3 years ago Nipsey Hussle, from Los Angeles, was starting to have some buzz, doing a more modern interpretation of the classic West Coast gangsta rap. He was even elected one of XXL's Freshmen the same year J. Cole and Wiz Khalifa were also. Then, out of nowhere, dude disappeared... This video don't seem very official, but the beat is dope as fuck and the way Nipsey flows over it is pretty nice too. Click above to check it.

Billboard Thursdays: Drake feat. The Weeknd - Crew Love
Top 25:
1- Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz - Mercy

25- Tyga - Make It Nasty
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another week and Kanye West still reigns supreme along with his GOOD Music pupils, Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz, at the top of the Billboard Hot Rap Chart. This week's highlight goes to the #1 pupil from another popular rap crew, Lil Wayne's Young Money. I'm talking about Drake and this song only came to fruition after Drake met The Weeknd, a singer from the his city (Toronto, Canada). Their sound aesthetics is pretty much alike, and since they became friends it would be expect for them to collaborate. First they did The Zone, a song that ended on one of The Weeknd's mixtape, and after one day where they were both at the studio, Drake heard this song, produced by IllAngelo and The Weeknd himself, already with the singer's verse, and asked if he could have it for his sophomore album, Take Care. 40 did some additional production on it and it turned out to fit very well with the whole albuns vibe. I still think it's one of the strongest song on a very good album. It unfortunatelly ain't got a video for it, so I posted this fanmade video that got some footage of City of God for y'all to hear the song. Click on the video above and you can also check this week's top 25 above.

Captain Murphy - Mighty Morphin Foreskin
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just yesterday I posted a song of Flying Lotus that featured Earl Sweatshirt and this Captain Murphy. Then, I said I had my doubts if it wasn't just another name for Tyler, the Creator, cause they sounded quite alike, but now there's no doubt left for me. If Tyler isn't Captain Murphy himself, he is at least involved with the voice of the character. In a chat with my homie Guy he told me it could be a project between Flying Lotus and Tyler, in which they both might collaborate both in voice (because the Captain's voice is heavy manipulated and changes a lot on the song, so it's possible there are two or more voices there) and in production (since both of them excel as producers). What matters is that the song is dope as fuck and you might hear his (or their) song by clicking on the psychodelic video above.
IAMSU - Over
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And in the best Bay Area tradition comes IAMSU, which you probably, if you know, is probably from UP!, the song he produced for LoveRance and in which he also has a feature. IAMSU's sound goes much further than that though. What's interesting about him is that he makes radio friendly songs that still makes reference to the place where he is from and has some good lyrics. This song is from his latest mixtape, Kilt, and you can see him (and his 80's Ford Mustang) by clicking above.
2 Chainz feat. Kanye West - Birthday Song
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Chainz just released a new single, this time with one of his labelmates, none other than Mr. Kanye West himself. The song was produced by Sonny Digital and I guarantee that soon enough we will check it on a Billboard Thursdays. Click below to hear the song.

Future feat. Diddy & Ludacris - Same Damn Time (Remix)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This song is already dope all by itself, because of both Sonny Digital's beat and Future's hook for the song, but they calling out Diddy, the king of the remixes, to do the official one for this song was the stroke of a genius. Diddy represented with his shit talking, doing it like I haven't heard on a while, which is dope. If you wanna check the official video for the song, click above.
Rick Ross feat. Dr. Dre & Jay-Z - 3 Kings
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This 3 are legends on their own territories and over, there's no doubt about that. Because of that, this was one of the most expected song from Rozay's next LP, God Forgives, I Don't. Unfortunatelly the only one that remotelly gets to what people expect of him is Jay-Z. Luckily, he is also the one with the most verses over this Jake One beat, while saying most niggas out there ain't stunting like his less-than-a-year daughter is right now... You can check the song below.

Flying Lotus feat. Earl Sweatshirt & Captain Murphy - Between Friends
Clique abaixo pra ouvir.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flying Lotus is a dope ass producer, of such a high level that he got compliments from Thom Yorke (the lead singer from Radiohead), saying that he is one of the most innovative artists in music nowadays. Well, some other innovative fellas that are doing some nice noise nowadays are the Odd Future crew, so the collabo between Earl and FlyLo on this Adult Swim sponsored single should be nice, and it is. Earl's flow and lyrics are impecable, FlyLo's beats are nice as always and even the other guy (which sounds a lot like Tyler, the Creator), all go together really well to form this great song. Click below to hear it.

MellowHype - La Bonita

MellowHype is an Odd Future affiliated duo formed by Left Brain and Hodgy Beats. They are some of the most prolific members of OF and this song will probably become one of the singles from the duo's upcoming EP called Numbers. Le1f - Wut
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll be real to y'all, I know little about the New York gay rap scene that's happening there latelly, but I do know this guy named Le1f. What I do know is that he does some cool ass party records, spits tight like some of New York's greatest (with a flow that reminds Nicki Minaj and Busta Rhymes) and also produces very well (he's done some production on Danny Brown's latest mixtape). This video is very funny and enjoyable and if you wanna check the 5kinandBone5 produced song, click above.

Billboard Thursdays: Meek Mill feat. Drake - Amen
Top 25
1- Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz - Mercy

24- Tyga - Make It Nasty
25- Future - Same Damn Time
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I knew I didn't need to post this video that just came out cause it would soon appear here xD. The throne from this week's Billboard Hot Rap Chart is still shared by Kanye, Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz, but this week's highlight goes to Meek Mill. This song is straight from Meek Mill's latest and great mixtape Dreamchasers 2. I already talked about the song here though, so let's get to the video. In it, Meek Mill wakes the day after a party, and through the day he does all the things that appear in most rap videos. He hangs with a lot of hot girls and also a lot of rappers (Drake, Juelz Santana, French Montana, J. Cole, Waka Flocka Flame, Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Travis Porter, Jermaine Dupri and Mack Maine on my first count), goes to another party, this time on Liv, filled with Ciroc and Cristal and still got time to show to of his hot whips (a Rolls-Royce Ghost and a Aston Martin Virage). Both of Meek's verses are dope as fuck, and so is Drake's verse and the beat done by Key Wane and Jahlil Beats. You can check the video and this week's Top 25 Hot Rap Songs above.

Danny Brown - Molly Ringwald
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny Brown is too dope too. He got together with one of the most technically unique producers out there, the great AraabMuzik, and even though it ain't what they are used to do, they did a trap song dope as fuck, that knocks as hard as anything Lex Luger gives to Waka Flocka, for exemple. Click below to check it.
Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pools (Drank)
Kendrick Lamar é o melhor rapper fazendo musica aew... Clique abaixo pra ouvir o single.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kendrick Lamar is the best rapper doing music out there... Fuck it, I said it. I wanna see anyone pointing me another rapper that can talk about so many subjects (relevant subjects, not any kind), in such an interesting and inovative way. Yeah, dude is dope like that. This song, more specifically talks about alcohol and the relation it has with our generation. He is about to release his new album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city, and even though it ain't on the level of Cartoon & Cereal and The recipe, the T-Minus is a great song anyway. Click below to hear it.

Angel Haze - Hot Like Fire

Albuns, Mixtapes, EPs & other rap releases

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Because of the fews posts I did this week you might think that not so many great songs where released latelly, but we couldn't be further from the truth! Actually, there where lots of great albuns and mixtapes released this week, but I'm not able to simply write a little piece about this stuff. I got take more time to do that, time that unfortunatelyy I don't have nowadays, but once I have it I might do it xD. This song by Azealia Banks is on her Fantasea mixtape, released last friday. The song is great and the beat by Machinedrum is somewhere where rap and some electronic genre meet each other. Well, her rhymes are tight, so you should really listen to this mixtape and the song below, so just click it!

Another week means another week of Kanye and his crew at the Billboard's throne. This week's highlight goes to another hyped up rap label, more specifically Rick Ross' Maybach Music. Billboard gives the credit of this song to Wale, but this song actually appear's on the label's compilation album called MMG Presents: Self Made 2. Rick Ross and T-Pain are there only for hook duties, so, as you would expect, Meek is the one who really shines on the track, with a stupendous flow on his verse. The beat is a courtesy of Beat Billionaire and you can check the video for this song above. This week Hot Rap Chart's Top 25 are also above, so enjoy!

Nas - Bye Baby
Porra Nas, agora sim!!! Finalmente eu ouço o Nas parecendo rejuvenescido, finalmente to botando fé de verdade nesse novo album dele xD.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Damn Nas, that's what the fuck I'm talking about! Finally I heard a song in which Nas seems rejuvenated, and that made me believe this new album won't be shitty as some of his latest xD. This is the song that will close up Life Is Good, and was produced by his old partner Salaam Remi and by 40, which is Drake's almost private producer. Speaking of Drake, you can see some of his influence on this song, from the way Nas open's up about his relationship with Kelis until the way the beat flows. Well, the song is dope, so click below to hear it.

Key Nyata - Get Fucked Up 1994

This song has got that Chopped & Screwed x Clams Casino vibe that guys like Purrp and A$AP Rocky brought out. What matter is that this song is dope so you should click above to check it.

Pusha T feat. Kanye West - New God Flow
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pusha T and Kanye have demonstraded many times that they've got great chemistry together, and this song from the new 'G.O.O.D. Fridays' series just reafirms that. Pusha gets back to his greatest form (maybe motivated by his YMCMB beef?) and Kanye brags the way only Ye can. Click below to check the song.

Nas feat. Large Professor - Loco-Motive
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nas is one of the best rappers from all time and the Large Professor was the rapper/producer that gave Nas the first opportunity to rap. For that itself, this collabo would've been an epic thing. Unfortunatelly all that Large Pro collaborates to this song is with ad-libs. No. I.D.'s beat though compliment's Nas rhymes really well, and that would be a great motive to check this song out too. Click below to hear it.

Spaceghostpurrp - Osiris Of The East
O Spaceghostpurrp lançou a algumas semanas o primeiro album dele, o Mysterious Phonk, do qual The Black God faz parte também.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spaceghostpurrp released a few weeks ago his debut album, called Mysterious Phonk, of which The Black God is also a part of. The album is good, but it can be a bit too repetitive after you listen to it a few times. This song ain't like that though. In it, Purrp rhymes with a steady flow that compliments the great beat that Spaceghostpurrp himself did. We don't usually get to hear him exercising his lyrical dextrity, but he does it on this tune too, which is fine by me. Click above to hear it and check it's abstract video.
Usher feat. A$AP Rocky - Hot Thing
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This song is on Usher's latest album, Looking 4 Myself, and he brought none other than Pharrell to do the beat and A$AP Rocky to add a hot 16 to it. The highlight goes to the threesome reference Rocky does on his verse, that's also a reference to the great verse Nicki Minaj did on Lil Freak, a single from Raymond v. Raymond, the album he released before this one. Well, click below to check this dope song xD

Chief Keef feat. Fat Trel - Russian Roulette
Clique acima pra ver.

And here's that banger by the Chicago goon and the Washington goon! The beat is heavy as fuck, courtesy of Lex Luger, and both rappers put some of their hardest rhymes to form this banger. The video features some real goon shit, but the package is dope. Click above to watch it.
Billboard Thursdays: 2 Chainz feat. Drake - No Lie
2 Chaaaaaainz!!! Based On a T.R.U. Story.

2 Chaaaaaaainz! Yeah, he together with his GOOD Music partners keep the 1st place with them with Mercy, but he is also the highlight of the week with the single from his first solo album, Based On a T.R.U. Story. This song has got a nice verse by his tourmate Drake and was produced by Mike Will. I think both the song and the video (directed by X) are dope, so I think y'all should click above to check it. You might also check this week's Top 25 Hot Rap Chart by Billboard also.

A Carta do Frank Ocean
Clique aqui pra lê-lo (se voce entende inglês), e agora é hora de deixar isso pra trás, let the music go on xD.

I'll be quick. Today Frank Ocean released a public letter on his Tumblr, in which he adressed the rumours that some of the lyrics from his next album made romantic references to a "he" instead of a "she". On the letter he admitted that he fell in love with a man 4 years ago, and that he was his first love. A lot was said about that, and after reading about it, there's one article that I think summarizes the question better than I could do. The article is this one, and after you read it, let's just let this subject behind and keep up with the music, because that's what matter

Curren$y - Showroom

Spitta had to save this 4th of July that's been weak for music xD This video is from another one of the great songs on The Stoned Immaculate, Curren$y's latest album. Intelligent lyrics about the Jets lifestyle and a dope beat, this time provided by Cardo, continue to be Spitta's formula, so why change if you're winning? This one ain't different, and the video follow the song's lead. You'll se some of Spitta's homies, bitches and cars (this time a Ferrari 360 Modena Spider and a Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster) while he rhymes all over the video. Click above to check it cause it's dope

Oldies: Dr. Dre feat. Snoop Dogg - Still D.R.E.

Man, I haven't heard this song on a long while, but I heard it again today and I had to post it, obviously. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are two legends, there's no doubt about that, and this song shows exactly how their dynamics work together. The beat was done by Dr. Dre himself along with Mel-Man and Scott Storch ans it became a symbol of West Coast hip-hop. Snoop did the hook while Dre rhymes all versos of the song, but they were all ghostwritten by Jay-Z himself, so there's no doubt about the quality of the verses. The video is a classic too, with cameos of lots and lots of lowriders, many semi-naked hotties and some personalities such as Eminem, D.O.C., Xzibit and Shaquille O'Neal. Click above to check it.

Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz - Mercy + Cold + New God Flow (Live at the 2012 BET Awards)
O show ficou foda, então clica aew em cima pra ver.

For those who don't know, yesterday the BET Awards aired up in the US. BET is a channel made mainly for the black crowd, so you can expect some dope rap presentations on the awards. Among the artists that did shows yesterday, there's the Maybach Music and Nicki Minaj and 2 Chainz also came together, but the biggest show in my opinion was the one done by GOOD Music. Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz did their Mercy verses, than opened up the space and acted as hypemen while Yeezy rhymed his Cold verse and an acapella version of his new song, New God Flow. The show was dope, so click above to check it.

DJ Drama feat. 2 Chainz, Meek Mill & Jeremih - My Moment
I'm On One (coincidência, será?).

DJ Drama was the guy tha released 2 Chainz' most successful mixtape yet, T.R.U. REALigion, and also Meek Mill's two most successful, Dreamchasers and Dreamchasers 2. Considering this two are two of the hottest rappers in the game right now and they're touring together (the Club Paradise Tour, that started many different collabos between the tour participants), I think DJ Drama called the right favors. The beat was done by T-Minus, the same one that did last year's DJ Khaled hit song, I'm On One (coincidence?). Well, I'm One One was dope as fuck, and this one sounds pretty good too, so click below to hear it.

Stalley feat. Rick Ross - Hell's Angels
