Porra... Pra ouvir o som (e o Pharrell cantando com auto-tune!) é só clicar abaixo.

Damn... Pharrell, the man, one of the two genius behind The Neptunes... Really, people can say whenever they want that they don't sound like they used to, but I still hear the influence of them in many of the songs I hear and hearing one of their productions still brings a smile to my face xD.Well, this one is off Curren$y's soon to be released album, Stoned Immaculate. Curren$y sounds nice in this song, as he usually sounds in his songs, I found the combination of this two guys pleasant to hear. If you wanna check the song (and Pharrell singing with auto-tune!) just click below.

This is the second song he released in his the G.O.O.D. Fridays comeback and the song will be on the compilation album from his G.O.O.D. Wiz Khalifa - The Grinder

Wiz Khalifa just released the visuals for his latest mixtape, Taylor Allderdice. The video basically shows Wiz rolling through the city with Juicy J, some random scenes a few shots of a Rolls-Royce Phantom with the producer of the song, Jake One, by it's side. The song is dope, so click above to check it.
Big Boi & Theophilus London feat. Tre Luce - She Said OK

For this song he reached out to experimental New York rapper Theophilus London and the two made this naughty slow jam that fits really well on OutKast's aesthetics. Jay-Z & Kanye West feat. Frank Ocean - No Church In The Wild
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They just released on the net the official video for No Church In The Wild, another single from the collaborative album between Jay-Z and Kanye West called Watch The Throne. The video, as you would expect from anything coming from any of these two is nothing short of great. It basically shows an urban war between rebels and the police in a city in Europe. You won't see any of the artists in the video, but the video directed by Romain Gavras really don't need this sort of cameo to stand out. The song was produced by 88-Keys, Kanye West and Mike Dean and you can check it above.
Curren$y Interview by Nardwuar
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For real, Nardwuar is the best interviewer I've ever seen, and Curren$y is funny as fuck, even more on his Nardwuar interviews, so for those who understand english, I recommend watching this great interview. Click above to check it.
Birdman feat. Rick Ross - Born Stunna
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing like Birdman to show you how to stunt when it comes to cash. This clip is exactly what you would expect from a Birdman video. Lots of hot biatches, racks and racks of cash money and an enviable car collection (in this video you can see a Maybach 57, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Gallardo and Rolls-Royce Ghost), but the song is really dope too. It kinda follows the blueprint of what Ross has been doing lately, but Ricky only does hook duties on this song. The song was produced by Beat Billionaire and should appear on Birdman's next album, Bigga Than Life. Click above to check it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had already posted this song when it got out and last week Nas released the video for what should be the next single from his upcoming album, Life Is Good. The production was handled by No I.D. and the video was really well done, showing what Nas' daughter, Destiny Jones, life was from her birth until today, exactly like the lirics to the song. Click above to check it.
King Louie - Val Venis
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
King Louie is a Chicago rapper, but to get a better picture of him you better think of the new generation of Chicago rappers (like Chief Keef, Lil Reese, Lil Durk and others) than the most well known Chi rappers like Kanye West, Common or Lupe Fiasco. The beat is kinda like something Gucci Mane would rhyme over, but his flow reminds me more of Young Dro's than Gucci's. Click below to check the song.

Lil Wayne - Goulish
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last week Pusha T continued his campaign against Drake by releasing a diss song called Exodus 23:1. Don't get me wrong, I think Pusha is one of the dopest, but this beef is ridicule and the song that went with it isn't such a great thing either. Well, at least he got Lil Wayne's attention and he released this weekend the answer to Pusha's diss through the song below, produced by Swizz Beatz. You can hear it below.

SL Jones - T.H.C.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SL Jones is a rapper from Little Rock, Arkansas, a little city in the US, and DJ Burn One kinda turned into his specialty finding this kind of great rappers in little cities no one would probably know about if it wasn't for him. Jones just released a mixtape called Paraphernalia which was produced as a whole by Burn One, which made it very concise and of great quality. This song specifically sounds kinda like the Fiend record I reviewed earlier, but the real reason I chose this one is because of the instrumental work DJ Burn One did in the end of the track. It is nothing short of fantastic and it's worth listening until the end just to hear it. Click below to check it.
Fat Joe feat. Kanye West, Miguel, Jadakiss, Mos Def, DJ Khaled, Roscoe Dash & Busta Rhymes - Pride N Joy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kinda ridicule for me to post this whole song again, if it is basically the same as the other one, only without the Funkmaster Flex tags. You must be wondering, what's up with all those names on the feature then? Well, they are all doing a choir on the intro, hook and outro of the song, that's why I couldn't find Miguel in the other version, and you probably won't be able to find each voice on the choir (maybe Jada x), but everyone's there... The verses are the same though, only by Joey Crack and Kanye, and the beat was actually done by Bink. Click below to check it.
Gucci Mane feat. Scarface - Scarface
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This new mixtape by Gucci is shaping up nicely xD Gucci is back with his 2008 flow, this time with a feature from a legend from the south, Scarface from the Geto Boys. The beat reminds me of what Zaytoven used to do for him, but this time it's actually Mike Will on the beat. This song will be on I'm Up and to hear it, click below.
Billboard Thursdays: Tyga feat. Lil Wayne - Faded
Esse ano ele teve o maior hit da carreira dele, a musica Rack City, e também lançou o segundo album dele, o Careless World: Rise of the Last King.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this week's Billboard Rap Chart, Kirko Bangz is still in the first place with Drank In My Cup, but since we spoke earlier about this single, this week's highlight is Tyga's Faded. Tyga is a rapper from Los Angeles, CA, and he is the cousin of Travie McCoy, the singer from Gym Class Heroes. Through this connect, Lil Wayne got to know him and signed him to the label he was building, Young Money, a subsidiary of Cash Money. Young Money is also the label of Drake, Nicki Minaj and some other rappers. This year he had the biggest hit of his career with Rack City and released his sophomore album, Careless World: Rise of the Last King. Faded was really inspired by Rack City and the Bay Area influences of the song. It was produced by Dnyc3 and Cisse Methods and the video for it is kinda funny, with big headed versions of Tyga and Weezy spitting their verses. Beside the duo, Mack Maine and Birdman also have quick cameos on the video. Click above to check the video and you can also check this week's Top 25 above.

Action Bronson, Riff Raff & Dana Coppafeel - Hot Shots
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Right after the great Bird On A Wire, Action Bronson and Riff Raff are back together, this time with Dana Coppafeel to make this chilled-out dope song together. The video is funny and bizarre at the same damn time, but what would you expect from this two? If they switched Dana for Curren$y it would be perfect, but it's a very dope song anyway. Click above to check the video.
Fat Joe feat. Kanye West & Miguel - Pride & Joy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And I was thinking Joey Crack's career was dead! Nothing like a song with Kanye to take you out of the grave xD. Well, the song is dope, it's the type of romantic song we've already heard Kanye on but Fat Joe sounds good over it. As far as I know, it was produced by Kanye and even though Miguel is on the song's credits, I heard it over 5x and haven't found him in it yet. Click below to check it out.
Gucci Mane feat. Fabolous & 8Ball - Don't Make Sense
O Gucci tá pra lançar uma mixtape (assim como sempre nos ultimos 3 anos enquanto ele não estava na prisão) chamada I'm Up. Se ela for como a Trap Back, pessoal tá bem arranjado.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gucci is about to release a mixtape (as he always was in the last 3 years while he was out of prison) called I'm Up. If it is anything like Trap Back we got some gold in our hands. This song is that classic Gucci Mane, this time produced by DJ Spinz and with a kinda awkward verse by Loso but a dope one by 8Ball. Click below to check the song.

2 Chainz - Undastatement
2 Chaaaaaainz xD.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Chaaaaaainz xD. Those who know 2 Chainz (also known as Tity Boy from the Playaz Circle) know what kind of rapper he is. Just like T.I., Young Jeezy, Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka before him, he is another rapper from Atlanta whose sound is blowing up right now, making hits for both the streets and the clubs. This song, for me, is one of the best from his great last year mixtape, T.R.U. REALigion. The video is not that original though, as you would expect you'll see a lot of hot biatches, cash raining, a feature from some rapper (in this case, Wale), and some dope whips (in this case, the Fisker Karma, which must be getting pretty popular in Atlanta). The song was produced by Lex Luger and you can check the video above.
Meek Mill - Dreamchasers 2

Meek Mill is a rapper from Philadelphia, the same land from where various Rocafella rappers like Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Young Chris and Peedi Crakk came from. All of these rappers where known for the energy of their music and for their fast and intelligent rhymes and flows that brought to the listeners what was happening in the streets of their city. Meek is a descendant of this rappers and can be considered a post-Roc Philly rapper, and even though follows their recipe and tradition, he brings it to a whole 'nother level.
In the beginning of 2011, Rick Ross signed him to his newly inaugurated label, Maybach Music, which he signed, along with his own contract, to Warner Bros. Until then Meek Mill wasn't really well known, but he had major respect in the streets of the city where he came from. His potencial had the opportunity to rise along with the Rozay co-sign though, and on the first album released through the label, the Self Made Vol. 1 compilation, he shined with two of 2011 biggest rap hits, Tupac Back and I'ma Boss, which showed exactly how much talent he had and how much sense it made pairing him with Ross. The fact that, along with this two hits, he released one of last year best mixtapes, Dreamchasers, made everyone that listen to rap put him on the same level as the big guns in the game right now.
All of this made Meek's fame and profile rise a lot. The anticipation for the Dreamchasers follow up was so big that when the mixtape that originated this post got released, it crashed DatPiff.com, a mixtape hosting website in which it was released. It has, in this moment, over 2 million downloads alone and is the most downloaded mixtape in the website history.
I talked a lot about Meek Mill's profile and history, but what about the mixtape? Is it worth all this hype? I'd like to say yes, but the question is a bit complex for such a simple answer. As a continuation to the original Dreamchasers, it works very well, and Meek gets to expand the concept he originally conceived. The tape was produced by the likes of All Star, The Beat Bully, Jahlil Beats, Cardiak and others, and in the tape you can see street bangers in the way only Meek does nowadays, such as Burn with Big Sean and A1 Everything with Kendrick Lamar, along with songs in which Meek explores a different side of his craft, like Amen, with Drake, and the freestyle over The Ride. Although the energy, lyrical and beat selection level of the songs in the tape are in one of the biggest levels in the game right now, songs such as Take U Home and others that have verses by some pop rappers that are famous right now, such as Mac Miller and his labelmate Wale, kinda break the mood of the mixtape and spoil it a bit. Of course you can correct this mixtape by simply deleting this songs, but I still think if you wanna see Meek in his full potential, the original Dreamchasers is still a better choice than this one.
For those who already know that one, though, I fully recomend this one. It definitelly deserves the space in your hard drive or iPod and you can find it below.
Oldies: The Notorious B.I.G. - Machine Gun Funk

Today would be the 40th anniversary of Christopher Wallace, also known as Biggie Smalls or The Notorious B.I.G., if he wasn't murdered in 1997. He is, in my opinion, the best rapper to ever touch a mic and I really don't have to introduce him to anyone that know a bit about rap, so here's this one to celebrate the life of the big one... Rest in peace Biggie.

Killer Mike - Reagan
O som tá no album R.A.P. Music e você pode ouví-lo abaixo.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And speaking of political rap, if there's a guy that can do the thing without repeating himself or sounding boring or like a preacher, this guy is Killer Mike. In this song he talks about Reagan and the external politics he chose and compares it with what Bush and Obama have done nowadays, all that over a great beat by none less than El-P. This song is on his latest album, R.A.P. Music, and you can hear it below.
Ab-Soul feat. Danny Brown & Jhene Aiko - Terrorist Threats

Psychedelia and political ativism is something we don't see together since the 70s with the hippy movement, but there's no better way to describe this song by one of them Black Hippy rappers, Ab-Soul. Beside the great theme of the song, the song is complemented really well by the flows of two of the best rappers out there, Danny and Soul, and an Biggie verse in the intro, being sung by Jhene Aiko. The video is really interesting so click above to check it.

Curren$y feat. 2 Chainz - Capitol
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Curren$y is the kind of rapper that can create a whole atmosphere around everything he does (a very hazy atmosphere by the way). His theme, beats, lyrics and videos shows his whole chilled out lifestyle, a style that is luxurious but without doing too much ostentation. From the famous rappers nowadays, Wiz Khalifa is the one that sounds the most like him, but in any way you might put it, Spitta does his job way better than Wiz. Those interested in seeing how he sounds like can click below to check this song he did with 2 Chainz that is supposed to be on his next album, Stoned Immaculate.

Billboard Thursdays: Ca$hOut - Cashin Out
Top 25:
1- Kirko Bangz - Drank In My Cup
2- Drake feat. Lil Wayne - The Motto
3- Young Jeezy feat. Ne-Yo - Leave You Alone
4- LoveRance feat. IamSu & Skipper or 50 Cent - UP!
5- Drake feat. Rihanna - Take Care
6- Ca$hOut - Cashin Out
7- Fat Joe feat. Chris Brown - Another Round
8- Flo Rida feat. Sia - Wild Ones
9- Tyga feat. Lil Wayne - Faded
10- Travis Porter feat. Tyga - Ayy Ladies
11- Nicki Minaj - Starships
12- Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz - Mercy
13- DJ Khaled - Take It To The Head
14- Drake feat. The Weekend - Crew Love
15- Nicki Minaj feat. 2 Chainz - Beez In The Trap
16- J. Cole feat. Missy Elliott - Nobody's Perfect
17- Future - Same Damn Time
18- Drake feat. Lil Wayne - HYFR (Hell Yeah Fuckin' Right)
19- Wiz Khalifa - Work Hard, Play Hard
20- Rick Ross feat. Drake & French Montana - Stay Schemin
21- Future feat. T.I. - Magic
22- E-40 feat. YG, iAMSU! & Problem - Function
23- Pitbull - Back In Time
24- Waka Flocka Flame feat. Trey Songz - I Dont Really Care
25- B.o.B - So Good
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And on this week's Billboard Rap Chart, Drake finally lost the top spot to Kirko Bangz' Drank In My Cup.This week though, the highlight goes to Ca$hOut. He is a new rapper from Atlanta, GA, and he is the kind of rapper that is really influenced by Future, which is also from his city, in matters such as flow and the way he croons with auto-tune. This song was produced by Spinz and is part of his It's My Time mixtape, which you can find for free on that link. It's the kind of Atlanta "party music" we saw YC and Roscoe Dash doing not long ago, and many others before them, but it doesn't lose it's merit because of this. If you wanna check the video for the song (along with Ca$hOut's Fisker Karma), all you gotta do is click above. You can check this week's top 25 Rap Songs above too.

Future - Pluto
On The Track, Organized Noise, Will-A-Fool, Sonny Digital, Nard & B e Mike Will.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pluto is the first album from Future and was released about a month ago and it's quite divisive. Future is not what you would call a lyrical rapper and he doesn't quite have a great voice either, which is why he uses a lot of auto-tune on his songs. That by itself would make millions of rap fans quit with the idea of listening to him, but if there's one thing that really interest me on rap is when a guy breaks taboos on the genre, and this he does quite a lot and in an interesting way. He uses his space concept and his kinda robotic voice to speak of things as varied as love or the streets, but in a fresh and new way. In this aspect he is kinda like Andre 3000, which is also from Atlanta, but has a lot more respect on rap circles because of his lyrical dexterity. Well, what Future ain't got in lyrics he compensates with emotion and honesty and that's quite fine by me. Some of the singles on the album got a lot of radio play on the US, such as Tony Montana, Magic and Same Damn Time and among the producers on the album you will find Organized Noise, K.E. On The Track, Will-A-Fool, Sonny Digital, Nard & B and Mike Will. Below you can check two tracks from the album. The first one is Parachute, produced by DJ Pharris and John Blu and featuring R. Kelly, which shows how much Kells still got his skills going on. The second one is Turn On The Lights, produced by Mike Will, which shows really well the sides of Future that I tried to show you earlier on this article. Click below to hear the tracks and you can probably find the album on this site.

Marvin Gaye - Ain't That Peculiar (Oddisee Remix)

When you see someone using samples from Marvin Gaye on a song, they are usually after a very specific, sexy and soulful sound. Well, rapper and producer Oddisee was able to use a great Marvin Gaye sample without being to cliche. To check the results of what I'm saying, click above.
Kilo Kish - Navy
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The girl you see above is Kilo Kish and she is from New York. Odd Future is quite the other way around, back in Los Angeles, but she is affiliated to some of it's member, more specifically The Internet, the group comprised of Syd the Kid and Matt Martians. Even though I think Left Brain and Tyler the Creator can do some interest thing behind the board, the neo-soul sound of the duo is the production part that interest's me the most when it comes to OF. With Kilo Kish they found a rapper that can also sing without being overmasculine like Nicki Minaj and Azealia Banks, and her voice suits their sound really well. Click below to check this great song.

Galactic feat. Mystikal & Mannie Fresh - Move Fast
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Galactic is a New Orleans quintet and it is the first time I heard of them, but I believe it to be a great introduction. Before Atlanta was t he epicenter of Southern rap (and from the rest of the US too), Master P's No Limit and Birdman's Cash Money, the two biggest rap labels from New Orleans, dominated the sound of the streets and clubs from the south. Cash Money ended up mutating into a giant label with some of the biggest pop-rap acts in the business and No Limit ended up bankrupt, but the influence from both of this label's golden era is heard until today. Mannie Fresh was the in house producer for Cash Money for a long time and Mystikal was one of No Limit's most talented and successful rappers (until he went to jail for 6 years and now he's with Cash Money). Well, this video shows the greatest things the city offered for people who like rap music and you should really click above to check it.

Spaceghostpurrp - The Black God

Think about the sound of Three Six Mafia being filtered by Clams Casino... That's kinda like what Spaceghostpurrp sounds like... He is connected to A$AP Rocky and his A$AP Mob, but his label is actually 4AD (the label of independent acts such as tUnE-yArDs, Joker, Zomby, Deerhunter, The National and others). He usually produces his own songs and this will be on his next album. Click above to check it.

Billboard Thursdays: Young Jeezy feat. Ne-Yo - Leave You Alone
Top 25:
1- Drake feat. Lil Wayne - The Motto
2- Kirko Bangz - Drank In My Cup

There goes another week and Drake still stands on the top of the chart with The Motto. This week's highlight is for the number 4 on the list, Leave You Alone, by Young Jeezy. This ballad that the Atlanta rapper has done with Ne-Yo is part of the album he released on December of 2011 called Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition. The song was produced by Warren G, a Death Row era producer from L.A., known mainly for his work with Nate Dogg. This song is way lighter than most things we've heard by Jeezy, and you can see it's the "ladies song" from the album that the Def Jam executives decided to push as a single. You can check the video for the song and this week's Rap Chart above.

Meek Mill & Kendrick Lamar - A1 Everything Session
Clique no video acima pra ver o que eu to falando.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Like I said on the Amen video, Meek Mill released his much waite Dreamchasers 2 mixtape. The first one was more than great, it was stupendous, and even though this one has a few great songs in it, after hearing it a couple of times I find it to be not as good as the first. I don't know, when I first heard Dreamchasers 1 I wasn't so stoked too, but it grew on me, maybe that's what will happen with the second one, but it seems to me it doesn't have as many great songs as the first. It has some bangers though, and one of my favorites off it is A1 Everything. It features two of my favorite rappers right now and they just did what they do best, with their best flows and intelligent lyrics over a heavy beat. Seeing the video of the reaction of both after de session is finished just made me like it more. Click above to check what I'm talking about

Bo Deal feat. Waka Flocka Flame & Chief Keef - Murda
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's exactly that kind of ignorant music for you to hear with your subs as loud as they can go. What else would you expect of a collabo between Waka Flocka and Chief Keef? For those who like trap music, this is the shit. Those who don't... Well, let's say this ain't the one that will make you change your mind. Click above to check it.

Waka Flocka Flame - Foreign Shit

Waka Flocka Flame doing what he does best. On this song he record over the beat of Repose en Paix, a french classic rap song by rapper Booba. He recorded it while he was in Paris to play on Kanye West's afterparty for his Fashion Week Show. Being there he recorded some stuff for his next mixtape with the Special Delivery production duo, among them this freestyle. Next thing you know, the producers got the idea to get their Audi A8 and roll through the city of light to record the video for the song and the rest is history. Click above to check the result.
Kanye West - Lost In The World

Kanye always has his side projects... Not a long time ago he released his second collection on Paris Fashion Week, a little while ago he was in Dubai doing his new movie with Kid Cudi and now he just released the video from the last song of his latest solo album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The song was produced by him and it was co-directed by him and Ruth Hogben. Click above to check it.
Meek Mill feat. Drake & Jeremih - Amen
Me lembra um pouco Let The Beat Build do Lil Wayne. Enfim, clique abaixo pra ouvir.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dreamchasers, by Meek Mill, was one of (if not the) best mixtapes I heard in 2011. I didn't get the time yet to hear Dreamchasers 2 that he just put on the net, but this song, even though has little to do with the first mixtape, is pretty cool. It kinda reminds me of Lil Wayne's Let The Beat Build... Well, click below to hear it.

Jay-Z - No Sleep Till Brooklyn (Live @ All Points West)

Oldies: Beastie Boys - Intergalactic
R.I.P. MCA.

Infortunately I wasn't able to write something about it earlier, but this friday, only 47 years old, MCA, one of the members of the Beastie Boys, died of cancer. He was fighting with the disease for 3 years now. He already had the illness when he recorded their last album, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two. The group's influence on rap as a whole is undeniable. He, besides rhyming and producing, also directed most part of the group's videos, including the one above. This is for the memory of this great musician that is gone too soon... Rest In Peace MCA.

Waka Flocka Flame feat. Trey Songz - I Don't Really Care
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Waka Flocka Flame is about to release his second album called Triple F Life on June 12. Those who know Waka knows he can make some dope songs, and even though this don't hit as hard as most of his songs it ain't the kind of single you can see the artist just selled out to his label. There's plenty of Waka on the song, only with a little more pop sensibilities so it reaches a bigger public. The video is kinda wack, but it's a nice way for those who don't know the song yet to get familiar. Click above to check it.
Meyhem Lauren feat. Heems & Action Bronson - Special Effects
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meyhem Lauren (the black guy on the picture) is a rapper that's addicted to Ralph Lauren's renditions for Polo. Heems is an indian descendent that does some satirical rap with his group Das Racist. Action Bronson (the white guy on the picture) is a chef that talks a lot about food, marijuana and his lavish life on his rhymes. What the three have in common? They're all from Queens, NY and they are the rappers that are bringin New York back to rap's landscape, telling vivid tales about their lifes in a way that's equal parts funny and creative. All 3 of them went hard on this track that Harry Fraud provided and you can check it right below

Darq E Freaker feat. Danny Brown - Blueberry (Pills & Cocaine)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To be real I ain't never heard of this Darq dude, but I did my research and found out he is an UK producer of Grime. We only got Danny Brown rhyming on the video, so I'll assume that's some producer project with other rapper features in it. As long as we get Danny rhyming that's fine by me. In the video he goes through a narcotic induced trip, and the beat goes really well with Danny's crazy ass lyrics, hook and flow. The song is great and you should really click above to check it.
Aesop Rock - Zero Dark Thirty
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another rapper with deep lyrics just like Brother Ali is the one of the video above. He too is very well considered on the underground rap circle and he too was a long time without releasing something new (unless you count his Hail Mary Mallon project). He is even on the same label as Brother Ali, called Rhymesayers, and the video above has some pretty interesting graffiti art. Beside that the song is very nice, so click above to check it.
Ab-Soul feat. Alorih Joh & JaVonte' - Empathy
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I already spoke about Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q, which are both members of the Black Hippy crew in previous posts. While both talk about some real problems in society nowadays (in very different ways though), Ab-Soul has kind of a more ethereal vibe to him, kinda like The Pharcyde did in the West Coast or De La Soul did in the East Coast. He gives the group some great amplitude when it comes to sonic landscapes. The song was produced by Skhye Hutch and is from Soul's solo project. If you wanna check him with this two great singers, click above.
Brother Ali - Not A Day Goes By
Clique acima pra ver o video.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I talk a lot about how I dig this new rappers nowadays, and the sound from the south and that being lyrical isn't everything you have to do nowadays, but don't get me wrong, I really dig the rap from other parts from the country and I like to listen to some nice lyrics when a song has them. Well, this video is by a great rapper, really on that lyrical side but without being boring. Back in 2009 I listened to Us, a great album he did and one of the best things I heard that year, but he kept kinda quiet until now. It's good to see he is still doing songs as vivid as those back in the day. Click above to check his video.

A$AP Rocky - Goldie
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A$AP Rocky is the rapper of the Tumblr generation and in this video you can see exactly why. His sound is a mix of two different sounds that dominated the genre when he grew up. The first is the one Dipset, which is from the same hood as him, Harlem, did in the beginning of last decade. The other one is that Texas sound done by DJ Screw and UGK (it's the third fucking time I talk about them this week, but that should prove how influential they were). In the video you see him rolling through Paris with a vintage car, pics of shoes by Martin Margiela and Christian Louboutin, many seminaked ladies, pics of the city by night... Well, I didn't liked the song too much when it came out, but this video complemented it very well. You can check this Hit-Boy produced banger above.
Billboard Thursdays: Kirko Bangz - Drank In My Cup
In My Cup, do Kirko Bangz.
Top 25:
1- Drake feat. Lil Wayne - The Motto
2- LoveRance feat. IamSu & Skipper or 50 Cent - UP!
3- Kirko Bangz - Drank In My Cup

5- Young Jeezy feat. Ne-Yo - Leave You Alone
6- Fat Joe feat. Chris Brown - Another Round

24- Nicki Minaj feat. 2 Chainz - Beez In The Trap
25- Rick Ross feat. Drake & French Montana - Stay Schemin
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another thursday and another Billboard Rap Chart! Drake still stands at the top spot with The Motto, but this week's highlight goes to the 3rd place that's been occupied by Kirko Bangz' Drank In My Cup. Kirko is a rapper from the new school, is 22 years old and comes from Houston, Texas. Through this single you can see some great influence from the characteristical sound of this state, done by the likes of UGK (and Bun B even have a cameo in the video) and DJ Screw on the end of the 90s and beginning of the 2000s. This song was produced by Sound M.O.B. and is on Kirko's Progression 2: A Young Texas Playa mixtape. This song made him get signed with Warner Bros. nowadays and if you wanna check it, click above to watch the video. You can check this week's top 25 above too.

Schoolboy Q & TiRon - Love Me Not
O Schoolboy Q faz parte do Black Hippy, coletivo do qual fazem parte também o Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul e Jay Rock.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Schoolboy Q is a part of Black Hippy, the rap collective of which Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock also are part off. While Kendrick is something of an urban poet, speaking for his generation and showing how our behavior affects our society, Schoolboy Q is almost an -anti-Kendrick. He talks (a lot) about drugs, the violence of which he took part when he used to be a Crip and other subjects Kendrick don't touches on. But don't get me wrong, is not like Kendrick is good and Q bad or something like that, in fact, he is as talented as, if not more talented, than Kendrick, and his 2012 album, "Habits & Contradictions" is one of the best thing I heard the whole year. Even though he has all his "gangsta talk", gangstas love too, and this song, even though it isn't what I'd call romantic, is quite an interesting way to see how a guy like Q thinks when it comes to this matter. Click below to hear the song he did with TiRon, also from L.A., and produced by Chuck Inglish from the Cool Kids.
